<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I feel like it's a fresh start for me," said (Camelo) Anthony, 20 pounds lighter than a season ago. "The team and the whole organization saw the hard work I put in this summer. I kind of cleaned up me, myself, personally. It just feels good, man. I'm ready to get out there." At this time a year ago, Anthony's life seemed like a soap opera. There was a fight in a New York City nightclub, a poor performance in the Olympics, an accusation of marijuana possession, an extortion attempt against him and a cameo on a DVD that promoted violence and drugs. The off-court drama spilled over to his play, which was unfocused early last season. He shed some tears, and the soul-searching started." Denver Post "With the goal of building off his fast finish, Anthony maintained a workout regimen throughout the summer. He spent most of his time in Denver working out with Nuggets coaches and trainers. When he was on the road, be it Los Angeles or filming a commercial in Prague, Czech Republic, he found a way to keep up his workout schedule. He also took yoga lessons in Denver. "I'm feeling better than I ever felt," Anthony said. "I feel better than even in high school or college." Denver Post "Said Nuggets coach George Karl: "I've got to give Melo the 'best summer' award. He's been in the gym with our coaches as much as anybody. He's listened. Transforming practice in the summer into the game is sometimes dicey, but it's going to be fun to see if he can do some of the things we've asked him to do." Denver Post</div> http://www.insidehoops.com/nba_rumors.shtml I am impressed with Carmelo, this is a great thing to hear. He loses 20 pounds and gets in perfect shape for basketball. His commitment to leaving his past behind and starting a better future is great.
Nice to hear that Melo is working hard. He didn't show much progression like Wade and LeBron did in their second years, maybe he'll just be a late bloomer then. But a good worthic will usually lead to good resuslts, if Carmelo stays hungry then he can definitely have a better season this year. I can't wait to see how better he is but the best thing is he feels good and prepared for the season.
i saw the media day photo shoot on gettyimages.com of melo and k-mart, melo does look like he lost a LOT of weight in those pictures, you can tell he's skinnier
So that leaves him at what? 200 pounds? I thought he'd have wanted to put on more muscle for the banging he does now. But I can't wait for his point production and rebounding to increase. I always liked him better than Bron but Bron got the better shoes..
this is the first of many excuses melo just got a bad attitude and now he`s been paid ,no incentive to change
