After reviewing all past articles obout the whole Curry situation I ve come to the assumuption that Curry has already taken the DNa test privatly. That is the only way this whole think makes sence. He leaves a team that loved him and had promise just for money? I dont think it was just about the money they guy want to play ball for the rest of his life unhampered. Wich puts Him and Pax in a bind that has just been sqashed. But Pax is hurt by the whole ordeal i saw his press conference on CLTV. But Im not angry at Curry or Pax, both felt compelled to do this, I guess it was destiny.

Well, imagine you're a 22 year old b-ball player, you earn your living by doing the one thing that you absolutely love, and you're about to get paid huge bucks for it.

And all of a sudden it could all be taken away from you. So you do tests, and 5 or so specialists say it's ok. One doesn't however. He asks for one more test, which goes further than all other tests you already took.

Would you take the test, knowing you could lose everything? Or just convince yourself that 5 really bright people cleared you to play, so you don't need more tests?

I really wouldn't know what i would do...

no point having money if your dead at 23 and cant use it.

i woulda taken the test, if it failed i'd still get 400,000 over 50 years. If not i'd get 80 million.

true, but i'm just saying, denial is a very common reaction in a case like that.

it's hard to say, i can see why curry would not want to take the test out of frustration for all that he's gone through, but it would not suprize me if he has taken the test. If he took the test and passed he would have gotten so much more money from any team not just the bulls, so why wouldn't he take the test on his own, then if he passes reveal the information and if he doesn't pass hide it and act exactly how he is.

After hearing about the details of the deal, I'm pretty certain that the Bulls came out winners in the Curry trade.

The Bulls get a HUGE expiring contract, a young post player who has arguably the same potential as Curry, a backup point guard, and two first round draft picks, both of which are going to be within the top 20. Giving up Curry and Davis seems pretty big, but Curry wouldn't have been signed to a 6 year, 60 million year and Sweetney has the ability to make up for Davis's production. The Bulls can now start Chandler at center and play Sweetney at power forward, while brining Songaila, Harrington and Malik Allen off the bench. The frontcourt is still very strong while Thomas's contract would free up the cap space to lock up Hinrich.

If Antonio Davis does get waived by New York and returns to Chicago, like some reports suggest, then Paxson has made a major move largely benefitting the Bulls.

wow i love this trade now for a second i thought we were giving up harrington but then i realized we're giving up davis. I love davis and his veteran leadership but i would much rather give him up than harrington. I love this trade and i think there is something that is wrong w/ curry that he won't let out, also sweetney's #'s over 48 minutes are sickk, i know that doesn't mean a whole lot but he could be what we were looking for at the pf a guy that can get some double digits points and rebounds. Tim thomas is decent off of the bench and next summer we will be serious players in the FA market. The draft picks are tricky w/ conditionals and options to swap picks plus 2 second rounders but they are nice fill ins

Not that it matter since Davis is going to resign with us after he is released by the Knicks, but Davis is a hell of a lot more valuable to this team than Harrington. Davis is the heart of the team, and the one player last season that gave us that edge on defense, though a good defender Chandler is not as intimidating and as hard nosed as Davis. I am glad he will be returning one of the most underrated players on our roster last season.

Well Davis increased his scoring in the playoffs to 9.2 points per game and also averaged around seven rebounds a game, increasing his rebounding numbers as well. While Harrington’s production went down in the rebounding column, and stayed the same in scoring despite averaging virtually the same amount of minutes he did in the regular season. So I really can’t see how Othella did better than Davis, but it is your opinion. It’s true that a lot of times statistics, don’t tell the whole story, but in this case I feel it does. Davis needed to step up, and play better than he had been playing in the playoffs due to Curry’s absence and he did just that.
