What do you think of them this year? Today is the day for our World Series dream to become a clearer picture.
I'm rooting for them in the playoffs. I think they'll beat the Braves in 4. The Cards/Astros matchup will definitely be exciting to follow. They'll go down the wire.
...Damn, I wanted the Phillies to win the Wildcard. Anyways, at least its the Astros and not some other team. I'll be rooting for them and Clemens.
stros 4 braves 3 It would be good if we can pull this one out today, especially with clemens going tomorrow.
I think we can win this sereis 3-1. With clemens on the mound tomorrow, we got to win that, and then taking it 2-0 home with Oswalt, a sweep is very possible. The bullpen looked shaky today though, they had serious trouble closing out the game. The time for the stros is now, its world champs or bust.
I think we'll win it in three. I think today is where we can say..Are you ready for takeoff but, Astros style?
Astros will sweep them. Today, it will be on the odd run. Smoltz vs. Clemens, one of the greatest pitching battles ever. Biggio with a lead off homer in some inning, bet on it.
This team is way too inconsistent and that looks like it is costing us them game. Play like the best team in the league one day, next day they're like the worst. Ironicly, the texans and rockets do that all the time too. That could cost them the game today and has been the biggest pain for the past two years. You could blame the game 7 loss on the absence of hits by our top batters in last years NLCS.
Well according to my sister the Astros sucked. I jinxed them. But the only play I watched we scored. I will not look at the score. Roy - O pitching next, we gotta like our chances. Too bad we didn't get Griffey Jr. during the break though.
Astros sucked so bad last night. Clemens allowed 5 runs out of their 7. 1 home-run and he just couldn't hit his mark. Ensberg/Biggio/Berkman went 1-6 in 7 innings. Biggio struck out twice..and yeah..it was nasty.
Astros in 4. I hope they can bounce back from their poor run support everytime Clemens starts. They will be playing at home this weekend so there's a greater chance to win the series and advance against the Cardinals.
It's back in Houston today! The Astros fans will be loud tonight! Not only at Minute Maid Park but in bars and homes around the city. The Astros have alot of veterans and I expect them all to be ready to bounce back today.
Great win, and a record crowd, i think close to 44,000. Backe has always delivered for us in the clutch, he should be able to pull this off.
5-0 and Gallo's pitching (oh boy) Well we gotta hold ATL. here and hope for a comeback in the 9th....Berkman smashed the hell outta that ball.
