I'm going to go on record early and say that Kurt Warner is going to be the comeback player of the year. I can seriously see the Cardinals making the playoffs this year for the first time in forever and if that happens, it's a good bet that Warner will take the honors.

Who else do you think might be good candidates?

Priest Holmes and Jamal Lewis are the easy picks for this one. I just flat out think Warner can not play football as a starter no more in the NFL. I am gonna go with as much as this hurts Brian Urlacher. He missed almost all of last season and I think he gets back to his pro bowl form.

Priest Holmes rushed for more than 800 yards and nine TDs last year before getting hurt and Jamal Lewis broke the 1000 yard mark. I don't think either of them is an "easy" candidate in any way, shape or form.

Injured or not, I don't think Urlacher will be considered. It's hard to "come back" when you were never really gone.

Another guy who might have a shot would be Trent Dilfer. He's been truly "gone" since the Superbowl.

Well Brees wasn't hurt and he won it. Urlacher had a bad season because of last year because of injuries and I think he can bouce back. God I am sticking up for a Bear. Oh Boy. [IMG]

We'll Brees only threw 11 Tds and 15 Ints the season previous and was only active for about 8 games.

Kerry Collins, hands down. He's got some great receivers to throw to and a great offense.

Don't underestimate how good Moss can make a QB look.

Good points. I just might have to agree that Kerry Collins, could very well be the comeback player of the year.

I would have to say Kurt Warner because Collins, Holmes and Lewis arent really consider comeback players because even though they had a off year i wouldnt really consider them coming back. Comeback players of the year are usally ones that have picked to have a horrible year and end up having a huge one.

Kerry Collins is expected to have a huge year, so i wouldnt say he would be the comeback player of the year.

Kurt Warner many people think he is washed up and that is why i think he will win it

The thing with Collins is that he is gonna throw for close to 30 TD's but he'll be pushing 25 INT's to. So that might loose some votes. I don't think there can be a turn around like Brees. I am going with Urlacher based on I think he's got what it takes to lead the league in tackles this season. I remember you said something about Patrick Ramsey. He is in a good postion. How about Travis Henry. If he gets the start he is in a great system and could produce a lot. So it's really hard to say.

Ricky Williams. Of course to be comeback player of the year, you have to have left.

According to RW, he never left & has been w/ himself the whole time.

    HA! LOL.

Ramsey could have a huge breakout year as well...he definitely has the potential for it.

On that note, Joey Harrington would definitely be the turnaround player of the year if he were to have a good year (with his receivers he should be).

The comeback player of the year is gonna be some player that hasnt hit stardom that people think is was a bust or people think the player is washed up.

If you look at the last three winner Kitna, Brees, and Maddox, people thought they were bad players and came out and played great. We already know Urlacher is a top 3 MLB, so that is why i dont think he is gonna win it. And Collins isnt gonna suprise anyone with his numbers because people expect him to do great.

You say this yet your pick was a 2 time NFL MVP in Warner.

But many people think he is washed up because he lost his job twice to marc bulger and eli manning
