The stors can take the sox. The sox have damn good pitching due to the fact that they just had 4 complete gaes in a row but i think this would wear the pitchers down. Our bullpen is top notch while they don't really have one. Unless they plan on pitching 4 more complete games, i think it's ours!

The Astros can top the Sox's if they play the way they have been. Roger Clemens, Pettite, Oswalt, Lidge will HAVE TO BE ON TOP OF THEIR GAME. Biggio needs to get his bat going, lane too.
(I live in St. Louis) Everyone I saw at school today had "Uucking Fmpires" shirts on today. Come on even as Houston fans you should've been able to seen they were crap.
They werent that good, but it was consistent to both sides. Houston got bad calls just like st louis, they just werent as costly, which was your fault. About the sox, thye arent that great, we can beat them in 6. Our defense, from pitchers to outfielders is too solid for even the best offensive team in the league.

Now I know that Marquis in the 8th(?) inning threw a pitch that was borderline, but the announcers replayed it a million times and compared it to the pitch that Edmonds got ejected on. Same exact location. Yet instead of a ball 4 walk, it was a strike. Or how about the pitch on Walker that was completely out of the strike zone and was called a strike. His officiating was so embarassingly bad, major league baseball refused comment.
I'm convinced Houston is going to win the World Series if they can wrap it up tonight. The White Sox pitchers were very impressive with 4 straight complete games. However, this could come back to haunt them in the WS, because those arms might not get the rest they need if the Astros win tonight. Also the bullpen is going to be rusty for the Sox, while the Astros bullpen has been absolutely dominant. Pettitte has always been money in the big games. I expect him to dominate tonight.
one thing that is consistent in sports is that the officiating will never be as good as it should be. officials are human too and they won't be able to make all the right calls. It's not like the ump was on our side. he called the game the way he saw it. Plus if someone loses because of a few bad calls, they don't deserve the win anyway! here is an example: When finley was clearly out of bounds when rebounding the missed freethrow during the rockets vs. mavericks playoff game. at first i was pissed at the call, i felt like it was the reason we loss. but then i realized if we could hit our freethrows and rebound better we would have won. it was not the officiating. the same goes for the cardinals!

But cmon, the Cards are the best team in the nation with great hitting and pitching and the Astros are only a great pitching team with no hitting game. Atleast that's what the "experts" say. You would think such a great team like the Cardinals could overcome 1 or 2 bad calls. Remember, Edmonds got himself thrown out. He still had the opportunity to hit, he wasnt out yet.
That is true. And it's not just the Cardinals getting bad calls. You look at the Angels and they got screwed over as well.
When we lost to Clemens, I could accept that. It was good officiating all the way, no arguments about the strike zone, the guy kept it pretty consistent. The umpire last night let pitches zoom all over the place, it just so happened that nearly every borderline call went for a strike for the Astros and a ball for the Cards. Am I saying conspiracy theory? Not exactly, I'm just saying that like the Angels the Cardinals got screwed by the officials. It's not an excuse as to why they're playing so badly or the decisions they made, but officials have the ability to change the game, and they're by nature not supposed to. When LaRussa got thrown out he was ejected from the dugout, which is ridiculous, Edmonds was ejected on the spot for asking where the pitch was located, with the umpire emphatically screaming "Don't ****ing tell me how to do my job." This guy was hanging on by a thread. *Note on that quote there have been many reported variations from "Don't ****ing come back here and argue with me," and so on.
I would say houston did get some bad calls, i cant really recall, but it wasnt as one-sided as you say. Some plays, yes they went real bad and St louis got the worst of it. but the big plays, in the ninth inning, they went right and st louis screwed itself over. Pujols didnt need to take off for home right at the sign of contact. And the double play, the cardinals definetly shoulnt have let that happen. I think the astros have been outperforming the cards throughout the series. They have been loading up the bases a lot more and if it hadnt been for that terrible batting with runners in scoring position, this series shouldnt have been this close.
Houston in my opinion will lose tonight b/c of a gut feeling, but for some reason and I hate this occurance, everytime i feel like the Rockets or Astros will win they lose, and everytime i think they lose they'll win. Rockets lost to bobcats when i bet $25 and $50 on the two games...got screwed over. as much as I hope they win, I have a feeling they'll lose. Let's hope my streak of being opposite continues.
Arrogance is a bitch. Series is not over yet. Astros still have to play 9 innings, and they better be 9 innings of perfect baseball. Cards will be pissed off pretty bad, Pettite can't afford a bad performance like he had in Game 1. Someone wake Ensberg up.

I cannot believe the Astros lost the way they did. Pujols is amazing, I don't know if I would have pitched to him in that situation. The walk to Edmonds was crucial.
^Exactly. That guy is flat out dangerous and has been throughout the series. They whould have walked, even though it loads the bases, there are already two outs, and you know what this guy can do. I wasnt comfortable with lidge at that point. In game 3, he gave up a run, in game 4, he put a man on 3rd with no outs, and with 2 guys on base and pujols batting, it was too risky. Garner needs to lay off him a bit.
