Not trying to be a troll here, but I think this season is going to be very entertaining and a close race between all 3 of these clubs.

The Kings brought in Abdur Rahim who is very solid along with Bonzi Wells right? They are both very talented players. Rahim has never played on a winning team while Bonzi is somewhat of a cancer. I wonder how he will effect the team

The Lakers have Kobe so they will always have a chance at contending. Between having a healthy Kobe and Phil Jackson back this is a good combo for a playoff bound squad.

The Warriors have Baron Davis who when healthy is one of the most exciting players in the game today. He has brought tremendous leadership and an aura of confidence that has been contagious to the rest of the team. They finished the season 18-10 since aqquiring Davis and finished 14-5 with Baron starting including wins over Sacramento, Houston, and Seattle all on the road.

So what do you think? Who will be the top team in CA this year?

Honestly, it's a no-brainer in my opinion. The Kings are easily the best team in that group. The Lakers and Warriors on the other hand, might give each other some competition, but it's too early to tell who is better. But for the hell of it, I'd say the Warriors look better.

The reason why I would disagree with you is because the Kings have been going downhill since Webber had his major injuries. Sure they may hot gotten shot in the arm with these recent signings, but I think it is more of a cortizone shot and will wear off soon, while the Warriors are getting better. Also, like I said, the Warriors beat the Kings last year when the Kings had something to win for, playoff positioning...

I think you have to throw the Clippers into the mix this year. The Pacific division is going to be war this season. It's going to come down to which team can stay healthy because all these teams are one injury away of having a major setback. If the Warriors lose B. Diddy, their wins will drop, if the Clippers lose Brand, their wins will drop, if the Lakers lose Kobe or Odom, their wins will drop.

I think the Kings are ahead of the Warriors, Clippers, and Lakers at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings actually won the Pacific Division this year. They have a roster capable of success in the regular season, because teams don't have the time to prepare against them. In the post-season this changes, and teams will be able to slow the Kings down.

Right now, the Kings, just have too, many talented scorers and a very deep bench. Bibby, Peja, Wells, Miller, and SAR, can all put the ball in the basket, so teams who try to double team will get burned.

Bonzi will fit in well with the Kings for a while, but he never sticks with a team too long because teams get sick of his s.h.i.t- He'll be out of there within three years. This season though he'll be solid.

Bonzi Wells is aware of his reputation around the league, and he's out to prove he's not a team cancer. He's also in the final year of his contract, so if he wants to get a big pay day he's going to be on his best behavior. I don't think he will be the key for the Kings at all this season. The Kings biggest problem the last few years has been staying healthy. They've had to deal with key injuries every year, but this year they have some depth to off-set any injuries.

The Kings were 6th seed last year with injuries like usual. They are deeper and less injury prone this year. So I think they will beat out Golden state, Lakers or Clippers. I would be surprized if they beat Phoenix barring an injury to Steve Nash.

The Kings seem to be the better team of the three, but Baron Davies done wonders for the Warriors last season since signing. He suprised me with what he done. The Lakers could also do well, if things go to plan. I can see the Kings finishing 6th along with the Lakers and Warriors either slightly ahead, or behind. All 3 making the playoffs.

Are you Nuts? The Kings really aren't on the level of the Suns. Yes, I know you mentioned a steve nash injury, but you also have to look at the fact that there are now 4 very talented defenders in the starting line of the Suns this year as opposed to two last year. Bell, and Marion will more than conatin Wells and Peja. I also am fairly sure that Kurt Thomas and and Amare can handle Miller and Shareef. So even without nash, they are in good shape against the Kings, espically since Barbosa is a pretty good defender as well. Also, when Bibby has to score, that means he doesnt get assists as often. He will, no pun intended, shoot himself in the foot if he lobs up shot after shot.

The Kings are a team that isn't shut down easily on offense, every player on their squad is an excellent shooter, as well they usually have excellent passing ability.

Secondly, if Nash is injured the Suns offense becomes very inefficient and unable to score on a consistent basis. Barbosa really struggles running the offense, and Amare doesn't really have post moves, and if he tries to create his own shot every play he will get tired, because no player can really do that, except maybe Iverson.

I really dont buy the Kings being so great this season. They will definitely be good, in fact I believe they will make the playoffs but some people were saying top 3 team in the west after SAR joined them. These predicitons have died down but people still consider the Kings to be light years ahead of the Warriors and Lakers. SAR and Bonzi Wells are good players but Reef is likely only going to produce slightly more than Kenny Thomas did for the Kings toward the end of last season, Bonzi is a marginal downgrade from Mobley in my opinion. The Kings still have little defense and toughness, especially at C/PF. They dont have the firepower that Phoenix had last year and I dont think they have the defense PHO did either.

The Lakers will have Phil back as well as Odom and Kobe healthy. They still have no good option at point which I think is a pretty big weakness, even in the triangle. Kwame may be good for 10 pts a night but he isnt tough inside and isnt a very good defender at all. Phil should be able to mold a pretty good team around Odom and Kobe but I think it will take a few years for this team to go deep in the playoffs.

The Warriors made no moves in the offseason other than drafting 3 players. They have a good offense but still need to improve defensively. They have a few good individual defenders in Baron Davis, Mickael Pietrus, and Adonal Foyle but they have alot of bad defenders such as Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy. They might now have a post presence in rookie Ike Diogu, but its questionable as to how quickly he will adjust to the NBA game. They had a nice surge at the end of last season but they still have alot to prove and will be playing under pressure, which could be a problem for the young team.

Right now I'd have to call it a draw between the Kings and Warriors, the Kings made some nice moves in the offseason but didnt improve much upon their biggest weakness: defense. The Warriors will try to continue their hot streak from the end of last season.

You mention the passing of the Kings, but that hasn't been at an elitle level since Vlade was in the Purple and black. With the loss of Webber, the movement will be even less.

    Pacific Division:
    (1) Los Angeles Lakers -- 55-27 -- Please dont ask for an explanation. Just wait untill the end of the saeson. The Zenmaster is back! Life goes on. Get over it! Kobe is still the best player in the game, and Kwame yes Kwame will help create a vicious 1-2 punch. With McKie and Kobe in the backcourt, the defense should look exceptional.

    (2) Sacramento Kings -- 53-29 -- The additions of Bonzi and Reef in the lineup. Look for Peja to have a breakout season.

    (3) Phoenix Suns -- 52-30 -- Joe Johnson and Q-Rich gone!. They scored 150 per game against the Clippers, but that was just four games per season. Hard to imagine them not making the playoffs under Nash's leadership once again, this team will go through a crisis this year.

    (4) Golden State Warriors -- 41-41 -- Warriors will not end their decade-long playoff drought at last. Another judgement call I refuse to change: They'll win 35 because they seem to love late-season runs to tease their fading audience. Possibly the saddest franchise in pro sports.

    (5) Los Angeles Clippers -- 37-45 -- When will people learn? The Clippers will never be good. Donald Sterling will continue enjoying the Maloof and Cuban luxury handouts. Elton Brand will keep praying to be traded for Vince Carter. Lakers fans will continue being Lakers fans. Sam Cassel? LOL!

P.S. LAKERS AND KINGS ARE NOT A RIVALRY, THE LAKERS HAVE OWNED AND DESTROYED EVERY ASPECT OF SACRAMENTO. EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE FROM SACRAMENTO IS PATHEITC.

Are we talking about the Warriors of the NBA? I know this isn't particularly relevant anymore, as it was from a season ago, but I thought it was funny nonetheless. Will the Warriors continue to suck this year? They actually didn't do half-bad last year.

    1) Kings-----look at their line-up
with the addition of Bonzi and SAR
    they should be deadly
i see them atleast getting to the western conference semi-finals
    miller/SAR/peja/wells/bibby
    bench: thomas/williamson
    deadly:P

    2nd) Warriors
Last season we saw what baron davis brought to his team
this season they should make the playoffs

    3) i really dont like the lakers roster this year
they are filled with in-experienced players
    except kobe and lamar

What you have said makes no sense...
    1. Lakers were tied with the Warriors last year with the same record, but the Warriors actually beat the Lakers more times head to head, so we got the nod for the better record. You think that just because Phil Jackson is back and you signed Kwame "you fagg0t" Brown you think that is your vicious 1-2 punch? [IMG] What about Lamar Odom? I guess he is your 5th option right? Let alone you think that will be enough to leap from not only the improved Warriors but the improved Kings too?

    2. The Kings record is going to be 53-31, huh? I thought there were 82 games in a season not 84. [IMG] . So you think that adding Reef and Bonzi is not going to add any wins to their team? They went 50-32 last year. Dont you think they will maybe win 55-60 games this year just because those are 2 talented players? I should stop here, but I wont...

    3. The Warriors love late season runs. Well, when you consider their offseason basically started last year at the trade deadline, yeah, they went on a run. The Warriors are not the same old pathetic Warriors who have no all star players. They have an All NBA 1st team caliber PG now. Just like the Lakers are NOTHING without Kobe, the Warriors have never been anything special. Now they have an All Star type player they are a force to be reckoned just like the Lakers with a healthy Kobe SHOULD be. Let alone Jrich is a border line all star. The only thing that kept him off the team last year was he did not have a winning season. This year the Warriors will have a winning record; Baron Davis will be a starter in the All Star game and Jrich will be voted in by the coaches as a reserve...

Suns will run away with the division again. They are way more talented than everyone else in the pacific. In star power and overall depth. I think the battle for the 2nd place in the divison is up for grabs though with the Kings, Warriors and Clippers fighting It out. Lakers have not improved enough. Depending on Kwame Brown and aaron Mckie to make the playoffs? good luck with that

Oh and stat, please stop being such a homer. 55 wins for the Lakers? come back to the year 2005 and stop living in the year of 2002

I am not talking about the Suns. The suns are far superior. I am only talking about CA teams. The Clipper has not shown any reason to be involved in the conversation. This is just between the Kings, Lakers and Warriors...

The Clippers finished ahead of both my Lakers and your Warriors last season. They have improved this off-season and will be right in the mix if they can stay healthy. Last year the Clippers could have made the playoffs if they didn't have all those injuries to their key players.

First off my reply wasn't in response to yours and last of all the Clippers do deserve to be in this disussion. They added Cassell and Mobley this summer both vets who can shoot the ball. Which is the main reason the Clippers have not made much of an impact the past few years or ever infact. The Clippers frontcourt is fine with Maggs, Brand and Kaman. All they really lacked was outside shooting to help those guys out. Mobley is a very good outside shooter and depending on Cassell's attuide will also help in that area. Mainly mid-range shooting.

The Clippers have also added some nice pieces for their bench with Walta and Rodney White. With Chris Wilcox rounding up the bench they have a nice look this season. So Honestly I think you need to put the Clippers in the same disussion as the Kings and the Warriors.

Wow, people can create a debate about anything.

I predict the Kings will be the best Cali team, but as always they'll fail to get it done in the playoffs.
