is he the second option for PG right after JT? does anybody here think he's going to be a great player for years to come
I think he will I saw some potential in his rookie season and I think he will a special player someday.
There was a great article on him recently, Avery Johnson is working on him being more of a playmaker than a scorer. I think he will be a solid starting PG in the league, a little less of what Nash was (just under All-Star). He has solid defense and is athletic, he can turn out to be a Kevin Johnson-lite if all things go well. He is the backup for Jason Terry this season, and look for his minutes to hover around 15-20 per game, but consistent.
Devin has all the pieces it takes to be a high-scoring offensive machine. It should suplement that natural talent (incredible hops, solid shot, cruel cross-over) to have a coach who set the NCAA assist record. I see no reason Devin Harris can't excel in the league, but I will say that in the next two or three seasons, someone's going to have to go. The Mav's are getting crowded at the G position with 'Quis, Devin, and JET all coming into their own early in their careers. Soon enough, one of those guys has to go to make room, and at that point I imagine Devin will become a quality starter for someone.

I want him to be a superstar but I think he will be a very solid player, All-star caliber at most.
I think he'll do fine but not in Dallas.This kid is gonna move after his rookie contract ends unless he gets a offer he can't resist of.
Right now its hard to tell if he will be great. We hardly got to see him last season. From what we saw, he is really talented, he is fast and plays some real good defense, and he can jump too. Like Maverick said, he can be Kevin Johnson like. I agree on that one.
