Will those two make it, or not? We've seen several different articles about how everybody in the Sixers organization is so excited and feels so good about this year?s upcoming season. But my question is this, do you guys think that C Webb and AI can play together and form a strong duo this year and a winning team this season? Are season begins with those two, so at the end of the day will they work or will they not work? Will Webber be rejuvenated? Or will one tweak in his left knee kill the 76ers season? Is AI willing to let Webber create some of the offense more? I know, these two on the court must answer a lot of questions, but why or why not will they gel this season? I want to hear some opinions cause I can read articles about it all day, lets see what the fans have to say.

We can only speculate so much. We have to at least see one preseason game before we can make any real asumptions if you ask me. Personally, I think they will form one of the best duo's in the NBA this season. Seeing quotes like this on a daily basis, <font color=""RoyalBlue"">"While it's been only a week and not even a preseason game has been played, Cheeks has raved about the way Iverson and Webber have clicked." </font>[Source] give me high hopes as far as the chemistry goes. But when you look at the big picture, that is all talk and again we would have to see something first. I think we can make out final judgement on what they do for the ENTIRE preseason and from there we will have to wait and see what the final verdict really is. But for the time being we don't know what to expect, but according to what these guys are saying(AI & C-Webb) and what the coaches and teammates are saying it seems as if most likely AI & C-Webb will click, but that could always change.

If Webber is healthy, it's gonna be a non-issue. It only became an issue last year because Webb wasn't 100%, and was trying to fit in to a new scheme mid season, things didn't pan out like the folks thought it should and it gave them something to talk about. It's just a case of AI's stigma and reputation preceding him.

We will never know for sure until the season is under way, but I do sense that they are both on the same page and will do anything to win a ring. They are mature athletes with great respect for each other, a terrific coach and system and unbelievable skill level. I have a big feeling that they will mesh really well and with the emergence of Iggy and Dalembert, you may just see them in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Yeah, I'm going to go with the big man Avery on this one. There's no way of telling if the two have successfully worked out a chemistry between themselves and a way to satisfy both their playing styles. The possibility is always there, but you really don't know right now since well, they haven't played a single game this season yet. But, if I really had to choose, I'm going to go with the two gelling together. During the Pistons series, you could already somewhat tell that they had developed some sort of chemistry between the two. Now, they had the entire training camp and some of the offseason to get something going and I'm pretty sure they have done that. And if they truly have done that, I see us going pretty deep into the playoffs. The only problem that's keeping us from the Finals is that the East has gotten considerably stronger with Miami becoming an elite force as well as Cleveland bolstering their roster.

The thing that gets to me the most is that everybody is making it a "Can AI get along w/CWebb and vice versa" issue. I think CWebb and AI are in a catch 22. Webber will never be the dominating force he was before the knee injury, I doubt he'll ever get his numbers back to the level they were in Sacramento. AI, once we are forced to deal with the reality that CWebb is a has been, will again take the heat as not being able to coexist with someone who can take a load off of him, someone who wants/needs the ball. I am not getting my hopes up for the upcoming season cause again the team is straddled with a bunch of new faces, a new system to learn, not to mention the strength of the East this year. My prediction, they'll make the playoff's as a low seed, possibly 8th again, and won't make it past the first round.
