corey williams might be the cockiest player to never play a minute in the league; check it for yourself: http://www.nba.com/media/raptors/Oct7-CWilliams.mp3 i'm still laughing 5 minutes after listening to the clip.
corey williams??? lol he said he's a leader and can out play every guard in front of him lol this guy is funny as hell
Guards around the league better watch out. They don't wonna go 1on1 against Corey Williams in Practice and at Rucker. No one can stop him! Not even Billups and Artest! He said it himself!
oh yea, if the GM or the coach of the raptors hear this, they gonna laugh their asses off too! and cut him immediately because he's already talking trash about his teamates
I heard this too a while back, but I decided not to post it because it would'nt really be a useful thread.
The way he makes it sound, he has been the standout among the trio of third-stringers. Williams might be pretty good but he's making it sound like the team should sign him to a max deal or something. Confidence is one thing, but saying the stuff like this could cause alienation from his teammates even if he gets signed onto the roster. He makes it sound like playing in Korea is a great thing to have on a NBA player's pedigree. "I've played against pros overseas". Does that really matter? No one in the NBA hasn't played with pros, except for the draftees.
lol, ya i was listening to that yesterday, and he is very cocky. All i really know of him is that he's a streeball player.
very cocky, but I think its more of his tone, and the way he says things that shows his cockiness. The words he uses aren't that bad. IMO he never really said anything(content wise) that made him seem like he should be signed for a max deal, but the WAY he said it certianly seemed so. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">No one can stop him! Not even Billups and Artest! He said it himself!</div> you're taking him out of context. HE just said he played them in Rucker and Denver, that's it. He said he was confident playing agisnt them. But yea, I think I need to hear more of him before make a judgement bout him. His concluding statements drastically contrast with some of the interpretations about him. ahhh, I'm rambling.
Well actually, i don't think he said he is going to out play guards, he said he will try to outplay every guard or whatnot who's in front of him. and yes he sounds a little bit too confident or cocky
I know its really unlikely, like 1 in a billion, but Lets just hope he can fill in Milt's shoes some day. *sniffle*
i figure if he's giving us a honest appraisal of his play, then he's that good or the raptors suck that bad.
