I am glad to see most of us agree VC #1 Dunker. Although I dont agree with people who put LeBron on the list, he pretty much has 1-2 dunks he does all the time.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting raptors4life:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince is clearly number one, I don't know what some of you are thinking..btw..LEBRON JAMES? What the? He's an overrated dunker he does the same dunk everytime.</div>

Whoa, quite the exaggeration there? He isn't as flashy as Kobe or Vince but the man can leap. I'd say he's more like a power-finesse dunker. Not a slammer like Amare or flashy like Vince, I'd say he's stuck right in the middle.

But still, when he's running through the lane, he's not to be ****ed with.

    #1 Wilkens

    Some observations...
Desmond could easily be in the top ten, for those of you who said otherwise. It's an opinion poll afterall, and it's best dunkers, not scorers or players. I've seen DM jam a powerhouse in traffic with his testicles perched neatly on the bridge of a defender's nose. He's a highlight real with a pulse.
The LeBron thing... Wade is better, on difficulty alone, let alone the facial to open court ratio is WAY higher. No stat on that, but just from what I've seen, there's no contest. So if Wade isn't on your list, James shouldn't be either IMO. Bandwagoners.
Webb should be in everyone's top 10.

No way is wade over Lebron. wade just dunks alot which is cool. but he doesn't have that high a vert just 36 inches. If you wanna talk short dunkers then steve francis is the man, he's like 6'1" with a 40+ inch vert.

[IMG] Thank you, MJ was not good of a dunker as J-Rich is. They have pretty different styles but I've seen alot of the MJ dunks re-done by alot of players but I've yet to see anyone else throw the ball off the backboard, put it through the legs and put it in or do the crazy reverse through the legs, under the basket, baseline dunk. MJ was very good though...

I agree Wade isnt as good as LeBron but then again I wouldnt put LeBron over Kobe or T-Mac. He does get high but he isnt as creative as the other guys.

T-mac can he even dunk anymore? i haven't seen a good tmac dunk since his Orlando days. His back is messed, and even at last years all star game when he threw it off the glass he could only lay it up.

I think you missed my point and maybe I should clarify... I don't care how high they get or how fancy they are on the open court. I put more emphasis on in-game theatrics like dunking on larger defenders or how emphatic they are at a game clinching moment. Just a preference. Lebron kinda bores me cause he's always getting hyper about a wide open dunk when they're ahead by 15 and a buck and a half to go. That just doesn't impress me much.

well, i dont know if its just me or if its watching the one and only vinsanity for 6+ years that makes me think that. i just think that lebron's dunking is overrated. hes good but i think its going too far when you say hes one of the best of all-time.

Yea I agree, but if you think about it LeBron is mostly hype. Dont get me wrong he is a really good player but people hype everything he does to an extreme.. I wont be suprised if he makes a game winning basket then people calling him one of the most clutch of all time..

Agree..100%. He's a good player but they really do overhype him. But there's players like this in every generation and I guess Lebron is this generation's.
