I was thinking to myself, about what the lakers should do to adress the PG position, when it occured to me about d-fish. When GSW brought in B-diddy, fishers minutes were reduced. So.... Why not trade for him? He's familiar with Phil and the Triangle, and is great friends with Kobe. Discuss.

that would be nice to get d-fish back, but I don't think Lakers have anyone that they can trade for that they want to get rid of. I think everyone on the Lakers roster is what LA wants.

I think it would be hard for the Lakers to acquire him because of his contract. They don't really have anyone making that kind of money that they can trade. But, you never know, ti could always be an option if they need it.

Wouldn't that be bad for their plans to have a lot of cap space in 2007???

I thought they were only signing contracts for 2 years and everything just to get cap space and sign a big FA.

I made a trade scenario on Real Gm http://www2.realgm.com/index.php

    Trade ID: 2591866

    Slava M. ; Brian C. ; Sasha V. for D-fish

I know it may look bad on paper, but we would benefit from his leadership skills at the PG position, and he could share minutes with Aaron Mckie. Not to mention he is familar with Phil and the triangle.

Fisher's signed for too much, and too long. He's not the same player he was since he injured his foot. He just doesn't have the lateral quickness anymore to stay in front of his man. The Lakers are going to experiment a lot this season with the PG rotation. Kobe Bryant is going to play a lot of PG in pre-season, along with Smush, McKie, Conroy, Sasha, and maybe George.

If ya'll want DFish back, let us know. His contract is for 4 more years I think with a team option. I am not sure on that. Plus he makes like $6m per year so if you have something similar in salary, we would probably be interested. Dfish can still play for sure. I think he is going to be great for us this year. If we made a trade though, we would probably want to send you 2 players for 1 or 3 for 2. We have too many people on our team that need to get minutes...
