I do think losing Sura would be huge, but he said there is still a 70% of him returning, and I've come to conclude that he always talks about the worse-case scenario. Either he's too pessimistic or the Rockets management are making things sound less important than they are.

Sura has knee problems that may be so serious he can be forced to retire. He has said that the doctors have told him that there was a 30% chance of him not being able to play basketball again. The team though is acting like it's not anything serious and as if they expect him back when the season starts.

Sura himself and the team have conflicting opinions on his future, so it's really hard to tell whether he will return healthy or not.

Losing Sura was huge. But picking up Skip was also huge. It might be too early, but I think that might be the biggest pick up of the offseason. I think he'll really blossom as a point guard on the Rockets. I expect us to have a successful season starting with tomorrows anihilation of the Sixers, lol.

Alston's acquisition lessens the blow of the Sura injury...him being here ables Sura to take all the time he needs to rehab because there will be no pressure to return...But I cant wait until I see a Sura/Alston platoon at PG...

The Rockets have been able to survive and became more challenged when someone goes down to injury with the exception of course during the playoffs wherein Howard was missed badly. I'm looking for a better and exciting year for the Rockets.
