Quoting lakershowhorizon:

The last 30 minutes of practice, the Lakers were practicing initiating the offense with the two guard fronts mid court while simultaneously practicing mid court pressure defense. No full court scrimmages this time around. The guys once again, all vocal on D, and Odom looks like he is practicing roving around the court defensively, flying at guys on pass rotations. These guys are really communicating alot(Mihm, Kwame, everybody) and once again, the defense making it hard for the guards to get into the Tri sets.
An LGer posted some really observations from Day 6 of the Lakers Training Camp. Check out the rest of his observations: Read More...
Wow, good report!!!!! But I haven't been able to see them on NBA TV; for some STUPID reason they're just showing all other teams except for Lakers... Grrrrrrr!!!!!!
According to the report, Smush Parker is playing the most minutes with the starters as the point guard. However, another report said Kobe Bryant would be used in the opener to match-up with Baron Davis. PJax wants to see if the new look Kobe Bryant can play effective defense on PGs, and still have enough energy on offense. Sounds like the position battle between McKie and Smush will determine the starting rotation. Option A - McKie PG - Kobe Bryant SG - Aaron McKie SF - Lamar Odom PF - Kwame Brown C - Chris Mihm Option B - Smush PG - Smush Parker SG - Kobe Bryant SF - Lamar Odom PF - Kwame Brown C - Chris Mihm
I really like Smush and he's capable of beinga good player in this league but I dont think he's quite ready to handle too many minutes yet. I really liked him when he played for the cavaliers, and I was happy when Detroit and Phoenix gave him a chance but I think that LA could be his place where he gets on the map.

There have also been talk of him playing on the wing even more, and he can't really do that as a PG. PJax said this season that Kobe wasn't going to be as much of a playmaker. I'd expect a lineup that goes a lil something like this: PG- Mckie SG- Bryant SF- Odom PF- Brown C- Mihm

Another great writeup from Training Camp by lakeshowhorizon: http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=9947
According to another report, the lineup could look like this: PG-Lamar Odom SG-Luke Walton SF-Kobe Bryant PF-Kwame Brown C- Chris Mihm
