<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Warriorfansnc93:</div><div class="quote_post">That is no excuse because Biedrens has some of the best hands I have ever seen on a big man. He catches balls passed behind him that he has no business even attempting to catch. With Foyle I think his thing is he is not an offensive minded player. Between that and not expecting to get the ball other than offensive rebounds he just is not ready for a pass. I saw an article a few weeks ago where Jrich told Adonal to keep his hands up to his chest or something. This is a basic fundamental skill. Its like the triple threat position. You should always have your hands in a position to catch a pass. That is part of moving without the ball. When you are cutting to the hoop or trailing a play you should always be ANTICIPATING the pass or where it could come from. That is the problem with Adonal, he is not expecting it, thus not anticipating it...</div> Biedrins is the exception. I mean just look at his reflexes. They are very unique for a player his size which is why I'm so hyped up about him. Most players that big just have more to deal with in doing the things that smaller people can do more easily. Also one reason why point guard position will most likely stay anywhere from 5'10 to 6'4 unless there is a true Magic Johnson coming along. Even guys under 5'10 can ball it up like Boykins, Claxton, Mugsy Bogues, Sebastian Telfair, Brevin Knight, TJ Ford, mighty mouse Stoudamire etc.

Dampier and Foyle are probably exceptions because they can do other things like play defense, rebound, and block shots. Not too many 6'10 people in the world that can play basketball and run.

Who outside of Shaq can score, rebound, pass, block shots, etc at the center position? Yao is just unique for a center because he can also shoot like Zyldrunas Illgauskus but he can also dribble some. I think this year he'll be able to live up to some of the hype since he didn't have to do all year round basketball like he has in the past. I remembering doubting the guy as the next Shawn Bradley, but he turned out to be way better than I could imagine.

You guys remember seeing that one game where the W's lost to Rockets and Yao jacked up a 3. Geez, adding insult to injury. Heh. As far as center is concerned, if Shaq is #1, then Yao has to be #2. I'm looking forward to see how Yao does against those other Elite centers in the leauge. I'm sure he'll destroy Dampier, possibly overtake Shaq this year too. We'll just have to see. It's just too bad we couldn't sign Yao. If we had him along with Foyle, man, that'd be a nice 1-2 combo like they already have in houston with Deke and Yao.

He also was pretty vicious this one Memphis game. I love it when he plays mad, which isn't often. Yao is another player with a big chip on his shoulder that has loads of potential. I want to see him do well like Dun.
