Eveyone knows New York, Chicago, Atlanta, etc, as big time places for basketball. Players, teams, fans, everything. Well I think there are some places that are just as good but don't get much attention. Wisconsin-Don't laugh, guys. People here are crazy about the Badgers, and the Bucks have a loyal following, too. Plus, in recent years, plenty of talent has come from Wisconsin-Devin Harris, Travis Diener, Mike Wilkinson and Reese Gaines just to name a few prominent Wisconsin players. Washington-Hard core Sonics fans all over, three good college teams (Washington, Wazzou, and Gonzaga), and a ton of talent lately, including Martell Webster and Marvin Williams just off the top of my head. Michigan-It's not just Detroit. Everyone loves the Pistons, there are two good college teams, and there's a ton of talent always coming out of the state. What other places don't get the recognition they deserve?
I'm gonna Say Beverly. no, not beverly hills. Beverly, is a place in New England. now, there aren't that many D I or pro players from there, but the D II and III ranks are FILLED with players from Beverly.
Nate Robinson is also from Washington, they had three first rounders this year. The two you mentioned and Nate.
Oakland. I hear most people mention LA before they think about Oakland. Outside of NY,CHI and DC and all that Oakland has the hardest ball you'll find anywhere. Trust that.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Paul Bunyan:</div><div class="quote_post">Washington-Hard core Sonics fans all over</div> I wish.
How would you consider Atlanta a hotbed of everything? No one cares about the Hawks, and Georgia and Georgia Tech aren't exactly college basketball powerhouses (well, Tech was for a while, but not recently). Every now and then they have a top recruit, but for a city of 5+ million, you'd expect that. How about Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina... the three states that pretty much shape the college basketball landscape.
^^they are also a greta place for unkowns and stretballers. The Hawks are gonna be good bro trust me in 2 years watch out 4 them. Miami is up and coming I see a lot of talent here Dennis Clemente, Edwin Rios, Guillermo Diaz great guarsd will come out of here.
I dont think Miami will be as good as you say considering I'm an average collegge bball fan and I havent heard of any of those players but Mo Diaz, and I thought he was going to UConn....
