According to this source Sprewell is comin back to the Wolves.

" Several sources are confirming that Wolves' guard Latrell Sprewell will return to the lineup. Amidst the contract-carping that ensued last season's cataclysmic performance, GM Kevin McHale ensures a breakout year from Sprewell.

''I've always loved the man's game. Let's not kid ourselves--Spree definitely had a stinker year last season. He had something distracting on his mind. But a lot of people tend to overlook the fact that he's a dangerous player when motivated. He's definitely motivated heading into this season."

Asked if it would benefit the team's strategy and chemistry, head coach Dwane Casey gave a resounding 'yes,' with no hesitation. "Latrell's been in the league for a while now. He brings tremendous basketball IQ to our table, and he acknowledges what we're trying to do." Regarding last season's infamous remarks concerning his contract situation, Casey replied, "We all make mistakes. Sure, it wasn't the right thing to say, but he regrets it. I think that's a sign that he's ready to change his play this season."

Sprewell is signed to a 2-year contract which is currently paying him $5.2 million a year. "

Has anyone heard of this??? Someone on the RealGM site posted it, so I'm assuming it's true.

Yeah, right. When it was posted on RealGM it must be true, there is no way in hell someone could've posted this BS just for fun.

Anyway, read this thread at realGM about it: http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=423132

Remember, when you find something like this, let you give a real source, ie a newspaper. When you even have quotes from the GM, coach and/or players included, it must come from a newspaper article and if the person is unable to provide it, well figure this out for yourself.

And remember one other thing, we don't want Sprewell here, McHale said it and even our owner said it.

Even though theres nothing official, it's probably true. Sprewell has nowhere else to go, and McHale will more than likely take the chance of him having a comeback season.

We are not a charity, especially not when it comes to problem players like Sprewell. He was a cancer last year, getting him back would not only mean chemistry problems within the team but probably also less minutes for McCants.

He didn't accept our offer the first time, which was one factor of our bad performance last year and I think there is no way, McHale makes another offer to him.

So, no I don't want him back and I don't believe McHale brings him back.

I can almost guarantee you guys that Spree will end up being in a Laker jersey for the 2005-06 season.

We are already stacked at the 2-guard position. Spree, as much as I like him, is ineffective coming off the bench because at this point, Wally> Spree.

He would be a goodplayer that would be coming off the bench. It wont hurt to have him on your roster. Michael Finley is 35 also, the spurs picked him up and considered him a great addition to their roster.
