Haha I`ve been around, just not that active in the Mavs forum. With the new season up and running, I`ll try and check in as much as I can.
Veteran Mavs Fan Priority: Want the Mavs to Win it All. Fav Player: J Ho Second Fav: Marquis Third: Dirk Superstar: Got to be Dirk. He's been drinking Draino before games this year. Let's hope it doesn't kill his amazing rainbow canon shots by April. Fav Non Mav: Best game is Kobe Bryant. Best attitude is Darius Songaila. Admire A. Iverson for carrying Philly every year and not griping too much about lack of another superstar so they can win the title. Worst : Too many to count. Not a Shaq fan (size does matter though). Always thought Donyell Marshall underachieved. Best newcomer: Chris Paul will slowly make the Hornets one of the top-five most watched teams despite a tiny TV market. Also rivals Songaila for best attitude. Hobbies: Military history, archeaology, NY Yankees, Wake Forest Basketball (or couldn't you tell?), fly fishing and my children. Kids come first. Other: Mavs fan for decades. ABA fan. Carolina Cougars, the Spurs. Alex English at Denver. Iceman at San Antonio. Bernard King's turnaround quick release jumper. Gail Goodrich running the court in LA. Best sporting moment: Lorenzo Charles' catch of Derrick Whittenberg's short jumper and slam to cap the most improbable NCAA title run ever. Also, any opportunity to watch Larry Bird or Pete Maravich play basketball, one of mankinds' ultimate triumphs of mind over matter.
Name: Rich Favourite Mavericks Player: Dirk Nowitzki/Josh Howard Favourite non-Mavs Player: Vince Carter How did you become a Mavs fan: I grew up a hardcore Bulls fan (I lived in Chicago in the early 90s, how couldn't I), but come 2000ish when they began sucking I sort of turned away, because of the sheer amount of bad-basketball being played, not so much their losing. I remember watching TNT and seeing this man Dirk do things I've never seen 7 foot guys do, I was just intrigued by him, so I started following and the rest is history. Favourite Mav Moment: Getting to the WCF 2 years ago/Beating T-Mac & Rockets this last past year.
