<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">TV play-by-play announcer Marc Zumoff captured his ninth Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Sports Play-By-Play from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television and Arts and Sciences on Saturday, Sept. 17. The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards, handed out this year at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, recognize excellence in regional television news, programming, and individual achievement.

The 2005-06 season marks Zumoff's 12th year as 76ers play-by-play announcer and 23rd overall as part of the 76ers broadcast team. Zumoff can be seen calling Sixers action on Comcast SportsNet 65 times this season and 10 times on UPN.

"I'm just thankful that as a kid who was born and raised in Philly, that not only do I have the opportunity to do NBA basketball, which is a great thing, but also to be able to do it for the team that I grew up rooting for," Zumoff said. "I'm just a very, very fortunate individual, and to get an accolade on top of this, makes it that much more special."
