Alvin Williams took another step toward playing a real game yesterday.

The Raptors point guard, who missed all of last season after undergoing surgery on his right knee, took part in his first full scrimmage yesterday during practice.

"(Monday), I practised two hours, which was the longest I've practised, and I came out (yesterday) and scrimmaged and it felt pretty good," Williams said.

Williams will not play in the Raptors' pre-season opener tonight against the Utah Jazz at the Air Canada Centre.

I love Alvin Williams and if he is able to play in the season opener or even a game this season, it'll make me so damn happy and very emotional. He's just an awesome guy and I wish him all the best.
