The game is at 7 pm est, and it will be televised as a tape delay on Raptors TV at 11 pm. This is the Raptors' first game of the season before taking on the C's in Manchester, New Hampshire on Friday in what's expected to be a Matt Bonner lovefest. No detailed preview today because I was busy, but feel free to discuss the game in here. Cheeeeers.
Yes!!! I never knew that it was gonna air today on raptors NBA TV, even if its Tape Delay its better than nothing and finally Deron Williams. But from the Raptors view they should be able to pull this one out CB4 will do good against Boozer and even though its a preseason game I finally get to see Villanueva and Corey Williams.
Will babcock look like a fool, or a genious? We may get a preview of that answer tonight when we see how well Charlie works with Bosh in the front court against a fairly good front court in Okur/Boozer.
the line on charlie villanueva was 15 points 5 rebounds 4 blocks 2 steals wont give away who won since some of you are going to watch the game on tape delay
Is it just me, or does anyone else like the old court wayyy better. I find the new one is way to dark and it reminds me too much of other teams courts like the heat or the cavs.
Bosh had a sick, wicked and NASTY dunk in the first. Honestly he pretty much posterized two guys there. Wow that was nice. CV kinda looks lost out there, and his D doesn't look great so far from what ive seen of the first Q. Bosh doesn't look any heavier like people were saying he was, and the Swirsk was saying woods is ripped now, but thats just a lie. James is plain well so far.
check that, its second Q, and Cv just had a dunk and a three, making me eat my words. Honestly, Calderon is good. Great floor general and is really confident and a good passer. Hoffa is playin well so far, but Ostertag is guardin him....
wow eventhough i didnt watch the game stats were pretty good.. last second was dissapointing tho but the young team that we have--nice charlie had a good game 15 points 4 rebounds.. caledron was nice and wow i never knew t.brown was this good i like this kid even when he was with the lakers--i thought he was a pretty good backup PG hopefully we'll sign him that C. williams dude sucks too many turnovers i wanted to see more of graham though he got into early foul trouble which limited his playing time as for hoffa--i dont see a difference same old hoffa..turnovers/fouls/bad game
Tierre Brown scored 24 points, dished out 7 assists and got to the FT line 14 times in the game. I'm familiar with Brown, and I have to imagine this statline is deceiving. Did any of his scoring come at crucial moments in the game? Also who was guarding him and getting torched?
Good game despite the lost. Corey Williams will not be a Raptor, nor will Robert Pack. Not only because Tierre Brown chewed them up, but they really didn't have a clue. I liked what I saw for Charlie V, and Graham in his limited play. He has a nicer stroke then I thought but he has to work on his 3 pt range. I liked that he had us up by 2 with 17 left with a hustle off reb and I like that he was ready to takes the games final shot, and it was a decent shot (though it didn't drop) Calderon had 1 screw up all game IMO, but I think he was distracted with his nose, it looked like he hurt it. Tierre Brown just won the 3rd string PG spot, hands down. Hoffa slimmed down noticably. At least he is working hard. I thought he positioned himself better for bourds, but all in all not much difference. Still looks lost.

Sam Mitchell told them to get him the ball in the 4th, though he did miss one [1-2] FT to end the game, and he was hitting jumpers I didn't expect him to hit. Some other notes: CV's handles are on a different level from Bosh's, he has a little below average SFish type handles, Bosh has decent PF like handles, so he can definately play on the perimeter offensively. CV doesn't look like a center at all, I think him at SF would be a lot bette. Bosh was using more of his back to the basket game, though he didn't really make any, and he looks cooler with the hair. Joey Graham didn't play much, but his mid-range game is nice, which isn't anything new. Didn't see him show much in terms of defense of ability to create, but we'll see. Araujo still looks bad out there, Pape is nice, Woods is not bigger at all, unless he just got stronger, he's not bigger. Bosh also isn't really big, maybe if you really look, he got a little bigger, but nothing significant. Robert Pack sucks, it was terrible when he got destroyed by Owens' jab, that was disgusting.

Wow, you guys have Robert Pack. I didn't know he was still around. Is he a camp invite or did he get signed. I just remember he torched us in the 94 playoff and I haven't seen much of him since. What's the story on that?
there is an emerging theory that alvin williams will be third pg and that they are actively seeking a big man to fill out the 15 man roster. coach mitchell hinted that he felt tierre brown didn't do anything besides score.
TIERRE BROWN!!! Tierre had an amazing game, and I didnt know he was that good. I thought he was a good third string PG but I wouldnt mind having him the role that Milt Palacio used to fill for the Raptors, but I dont see that happenening since we just got Calderon. His shooting was bad, at the end of the game he was 6-15 just like Charlie. Charlie Villanueva was pretty good too, just took too many shots and made most of them useless. He had his bright spots but he needs to improve his shot selection, then he'll make me eat all of my words about him. Villanueva shot 6-15 from the field, but he had 4 blocks so he's a better shot blocker than I expected but shot selection wasnt too my liking. CJ Miles was clutch hitting that three after missing the first one, but he needs to put some weight on he's too small compared to NBA guys his height. That Owens guy was real good too for the Jazz if the Raptors cant get Tierre then I think they should go after him, his game maybe ugly but from what I saw it seemed effective.
