Just incase you are wondering what ever happen to your favorite coach. Well he's now a writer for ESPN, and now just any writer he's an ESPN Insider that is. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Coach Jim O'Brien led the Boston Celtics (2002, 2003) and Philadelphia 76ers (2005) to the Eastern Conference playoffs. This season he will write NBA analysis and commentary for ESPN.com Insider. This is his first contribution to ESPN.com's NBA coverage.</div> Source
A Jimmmmmm O’ BBBRIEEEN (Steven A. Smith voice)........... In all honesty though I think he is a decent coach, but his style did not fit our team. I hope he does well with espn most coaches who have a good coaching history seem to take off a year and work as an analyst before coming back to the coaching ranks. I doubt this is a permanent setting for him. I would like to see collaboration between him and Chad Ford on an article.
Good God, are people really endorsing Chad Ford, yarn spinner extrodinaire? That guy lied more than Peter Gammons, and wasn't even that great a writer, come on people!

Half of the guys he thinks are lottery material aren't even in the league anymore or have seriously underachieved.
I was wondering what Obie was doing nowadays. I agree with B-22, he was a good coach but just did not fit here in Philly. Good to see him still active with the game.

Best of luck to him though.
