They just did a little montage on who will start for the C's, I almost forgot about Bynum. Mike just told us that Marcus Banks will be out for two games, with a left shin reaction injury, that's something else. And Orien Greene will be getting some minutes too, so that'll be fun to watch. All right boys, rebound rebound rebound, and let's see some good passes and running. Go C's!
You're telling me, Mike James is makin' him look like a woman. That's sad. I stood up and cheered when Greene came in, and now I know how wrong I was.
Hey I can't watch the game, so I just have a few questions. Does Bosh look bigger than he was last year? How is Villanueva doing? From what you've seen of him so far, is Toronto better off with James instead of Alston?
Yes, good, and yes. Bosh looks a little more muscular, and that's plus, and he appears to be playing a lot more athletically too, which is hard to imagine for a guy his size. Vullanueva had a hot hand in the first half, haven't seen him since then, it's now halfway through the 3rd. And James has 18 as he is blowing Dickau out of the water. And the rebounding looks good for the Raps.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Crywalker:</div><div class="quote_post">Ricky Davis for starting One. That boy hustles.</div> I almost second that motion. We went on a huge run while Ricky was playing PG, and he has been the best at containing Mike James. How funny would that be if none of the 5 PGs won the spot because Ricky stole it away? Anyway, Mark Blount looks great. Just come to grips with the fact that he can't rebound and he almost becomes fun to watch out there. I hope we can count on this kind of effort all year.

I just feel like the other shoe will drop though, I made a ten dollar bet, 3-to-1 odds that he sustains a leg injury before the season starts. Dickau, by the way, just Godawful. And I don't know what his problem is. It's not like he can use the same excuses as Orien Greene, who has also been awful tonight. Gomes looks confident and talented however, and I think he'll be starting soon.
Boy howdy, these C's are sure clicking in the fourth quarter, that's a refreshing thought, I'm not used to this.
Gomes has been brilliant on the boards. He's also getting it done offensively and defensively. I like what Doc is doing here with letting the kids try to win this game. Let's see what they've got and hopefully we can pull it out. But on the game itself, I think everybody looks much more comfortable tonight, and I'm much happier with what I'm seeing. The only bad thing for me so far is Dickau. His defense is horrid. He needs to work on it before we let him play big minutes.

Everyone seems a little more confident, especially Reed. Too bad Banks totally sabotaged his career by injuring himself. Although this starting job is still anyone's job. Gomes, can't say enough about him. Hittin' his FT's, playing like a pro, and getting to that stripe like a champ. Go Green.
It's funny, Gomes is the rookie, but he's become the go-to guy in this lineup right now. He even got Villanueva to foul out because, just like in college, he can't stop Gomes.

And he is the go-to, I'm impressed with the way he's handling it too. Thank god for graduating seniors.
Thank god for all the NBA GMs that decided not to draft him, some of them twice. I'm really impressed with the young guys, keeping us in the game. And to boot, it's Scalabrine the vet that's made the biggest mistakes down the stretch. Oh, and gotta show love for J. Reed. 5/6 in the 4th so far...he's been great.

He's hitting some shots that he doesn't even have a right to take. Way to go Justin. He looks bushed and he's still hittin' his FT's. And Scalabrine has been awful this quarter, taken passes off the face, bad fouls, the whole lot. 1.8 to go, that's it, baby. FT's and we're off to IL.
Good game all around, impressive showing in the second half, and an encouraging performance by the youngsters in the fourth quarter. It was a nice little bonus that they won, but I like Doc's mentality in letting 'em play, and I hope he keeps it up.
You got it, brother. We were down 17 in the first, the vets brought us back in the game with Ricky running the point, but the story of the game was Gomes, Reed, and Perk on the glass. Doc put it in their hands, and they came through. Definitely a great game to watch because I find it so much more enjoyable to see the young guys come through then see Pierce will us to another one.
