that is very sad and crazy. Does it seem like more sports players are dying from heart conditions now a days, or has it always been like this?

This came right out of the blue. It's a really sad thing to hear. Although Collier wasn't a superstar, he was a good hustle player and I liked him during his years in Houston.

    RIP Jason.

No disrespect to the man, but this is extremely retarded. You think that top level athletes would not only have tests conducted on their heart to make sure that they're not at risk for anything? Did the incident with Thomas Herron or Eddy Curry not teach them anything? Herron died because of an undetected heart illness. A few years ago a Cardinals pitcher (Darryl Kile) died in the same manner. While I agree that this is yet another sad and tragic event for the athletic community, this all needs to stop here, because it's senseless. These athletes should be taught to recognize the signals that their bodies give off. There is no reason that they should die, its all high school health class. Heat strokes, heart attacks, they're all preventable.

    RIP Jason.

Gonna be missed especially in Atlanta who do not have a back up center or maybe a starting Center.

This is real tragic. I cant believe another sportsman died at such a young age, in his prime even. Even in other sports like soccer etc. there have been people passing away young.

My prayers go to his family because this must have been a shock to them, especially his wife and child. His death was untimely and totally uncalled for.

    RIP Jason.[IMG]
