I just noticed there was no thread for this game so decided to make one just for talk.

It's in the 4th Quarter right now and the Rockets are playing without Yao and Alston. Yao is out due to a sore toe and I dont know why Skip is out.

Swift is finally playing and has impressed so far.

    - 2 blocks on TD
    - A nice spin move on TD
    - A double clutch dunk
    - 360 Alley-oop layup.

He's playing great and so are the Rockets. They're up by 2 in the 4th right now. Let's hope they can get this win.

Oops, Rock4life was scheduled for this game but I forgot to send him a PM to remind of it.

Seems like Swift is beginning to show signs, good to hear. How'd Luther Head play?

Head played a lot of minutes, I think 33 mins. He has 4 rebs., 3 assist and 6 points going 2 for 7 on the floor. Seems like JVG has given him a lot of playing time. He likes his aggressiveness and confidence except for his decision making especially on the offense. Swift has played so well so as Mutombo who also did a nice job filling for Yao. I hope the Rockets continues to play well in the preseason. It will surely give them the momentum once the regular season begins.

Mutumbo haters out there need to quit laughing at his age. He played 29 good minutes. 7 points and 11 rebounds.

Head has some 3pt shooting skills. 2/3 from the tre this game.

Wesley needs to recover soon from that knee surgery or he might lose his starting role to...Anderson. Who is beginning to look a lot better as of this game. Head just might end up starting over the 2 the way he is playing lol.

Great game for Swift...Wow, and people say he wont change much for the Rockets this season. HE WAS INJURED 2.

Wow when T-Mac was injured I was scared as hell. Lets hope nothing bad comes out of it.

Overall the team looks excellent (cept for wes). I can't wait til the new season starts. The Rockets can prove those retards bashing my posts claiming the I was an ignorant fanboy that made the Rockets fans look bad. I knew wtf I was talking about and if any of you guys remember that whole argument than you know I am right so far.

Yeah seriously. Wesley went 1-7 AGAIN. And he missed all 4 of his three pointer attempts. Not a good sign. I hope JVG can see that. Starting DA or Head in SG would be great, and if Sura could play after his injury at SG, then even better. Alston didn't play at all this time, was JVG just trying to experiment with the other guards?

^^^ ya, i no.... when sura comes back i say we should put alston on point, and sura on shooting, while luther and anderson backs them up cause if wesleys keeps on playing like this, it makes no sense to start him..

I think the reason he's a starter is because of his tenacious defense.

That was a great game by Stromile. I can't wait to see both Stro and Yao along with TMac on the floor together.

The highlight is from another website. You'll need bittorrent to download the video. (Bittorrent downloader). You'll also need a divx player to watch it.

He's recovering from a knee injury, and it's the preseason. We shouldn't make so much of Wesley's play at this point. At this stage in his career, he's probably better suited coming off the bench, however.

^Thats true. He shoud pick it up soon.

Swift looked real good, his added shotblocking is going to help us a lot since howard literally never blocks shots. Swift denied duncan and horry, howard cant even deny earl boykins.

Why did he get so tired so fast though, he looked exhasuted with just 20 min and it makes you wonder how he will handle 35 minutes.

Howard has been impresive though, he is really attacking the glass and hustling. This will be a real tough battle.

You guys are prejudging the Rockets and the players. When all's said and done, this is the preseason. Benchwarmers and training camp invitees get their shine in the first six games. It isn't until the last two preseason games that coaches usually tend to develop a solid rotation and signs of roles will show.

Yea that got to me to. Either he needs to be conditioned, or he smokes. I am sure he doesn't smoke, but wtf? He was panting at one point. I think its because he is use to ony playing 20 min.

Wesley is worth having around. We wouldn't get much for him if we traded him. We really need a good outside defender. Rockets were one of the worst outside defenders last year before we brought in Wes.

Makes you think, we traded Jim Jackson (and B. Nachbar but i could care less about him) for him? Look how good JJ is doing. I think this was one of our lower end trades. I loved JJ. He fit in well. He could shoot the 3 well, post up, was 6-6, played good D and some other things. Wes is just a good undersized defender and can shoot the 3. At the time JJ was playing BAD, and both of them are kind of streaky. However Wesley is a lot more inconsistent and streakier than JJ.
