<div class="quote_poster">Quoting market:</div><div class="quote_post">What's wrong with Spurs? Four straight failure,unbelievable.</div> I'll remind you that the spurs went 0-7 last preseason, but still won the championship. It is preseason, record shouldn't be looked at, but player ability. Wesley is disappointing me only, but its not like hes not hustling and not making some shots.
^Yeah, preseason wins are meaningless. But JVG thinks they say a lot about a team actually, he said the preseason was important and you could judge a team by how they did in it, he sounded like he was speaking of wins.
Preseason record only shows whos 2nd or 3rd string is better. Even though the spurs bench is impressive they tend to play the guys that are trying to make the team rather then players that allready have contracts.
Regarding Swift's lack of stamina... "Like most players, some good some bad," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "Certainly, his ability to cover ground in a couple sequences was very impressive. His conditioning has a long way to go. We have to make sure we can get him in great shape and the only way to do that is to keep him on the floor in games and practices." Regardless... he was amazing... I watched the highlights of his blocks over and over again. I bet Horry was surprised when Swift blocked his hook shot.
Van Gundy doesn't care about wins in the preseason. Even in the regular season, he says his focus isn't so much on wins, but rather how the team executes.
