<div align="center"><div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With Allen Iverson, the Philadelphia 76ers proved too much for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were without LeBron James. Iverson scored 30 points, including 15 in the the third quarter, as the 76ers posted a 100-98 victory over the Cavaliers in a preseason matchup. Iverson scored 13 points in the first quarter and sat out the second. He came out on fire after the break and helped Philadelphia open a 78-69 lead heading into the fourth. Iverson shot 9-of-18 from the field, including 4-of-9 from the arc, and connected on 8-of-11 free throws. Lee Nailon added 14 points of the bench and Kyle Korver had 11 for Philadelphia (2-1). </div> Recap|BoxScore</div> Next up the 76ers have the New York Knicks at home. As most of you know by now, Allen Iverson dominated this game really. Scoring 30 points in 28 minutes is rare when you get below thirty minutes in the game. Also the 76ers had good contribution from Lee Nailion. Nailion posted 14 points, 5 rebounds, and even a blocked shot. If Nailion can put up those kind of numbers for the 76ers on a consistent basis, than signing him would basically be like signing Donyell Marshell cheaper because they both do similar things. Other players made a solid impact as well, Korver had 11 points, and even Louis Williams had 8 points and 4 assists off the bench. The 76ers are 2-1, but I'm really eager for Webber and Dalembert to start playing some games. I'm also kind of concerned because pre season is the time where you develop more chemistry. If C-Webb and Sam don't get back then the 76ers will need regular season games to develop chemsitry and that can slow them down as a team. So hopefully these guys can see some action before the season starts.
Good game, I can't wait for Dalembert and Webber to play. I didn't really follow this one, so there really isn't much I can comment on, but overall it seems like the main players are doing well. Right now the Nailon signing seems like a pretty good one- he's contributing well on points and boards, and obviously adds depth to our team. On a subtle note, I like Salmons' game from what I see from the box score. He's got a nice all around game where if he polishes it up a bit, such as the turnovers, Salmons would be great as one of our main bench players. By the way, is anyone else disturbed by Iverson racking up so much free throws? To me, the more he does this, the faster his body will break down.
Allen Iverson has always been in the tops of the league when it comes to free throw attempts, that's nothing new man. Don't worry he is used to it, AI will be fine.

I am really impressed with Deng Gai. I listened to the game on the NBA Live Audio. He was EVERYWHERE....I'm really glad we signed this guy...cuz he can definitely defend.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I am really impressed with Deng Gai.</div> I hear you on that. He sounds like a poor man's Mutumbo from his younger days. Maybe these injuries may be another case of a blessing in disguise because it gives him for time to shine and hopefully that will transcend to more minutes for him because I really like him so far. But I want to see with my own two eyes how he really plays. I'm making my assumptions based on box scores and audio, I want to see how he covers ground, how he moves, quickness and awareness.
