Parker, who played in the NBA for Philadelphia and Orlando, had 24 points. Nikola Vujcic added 21 points and 10 rebounds for Maccabi, Israel's premier basketball team. Chris Bosh had 27 points and 12 rebounds in 45 minutes, and Jalen Rose had 18 points in 41 minutes for Toronto. Maccabi hadn't beaten an NBA team since 1978 when they knocked of the then-champion Washington Bullets. They had lost nine straight before holding off the Raptors, who played their starters most of the way. Maccabi's Yaniv Green blocked Rose's layup attempt and Mike James' jumper before Will Solomon gave Tel Aviv a 95-93 lead with a 3-pointer -- their first lead since the first quarter. James' driving layup tied it at 103 with 19 seconds left. But Parker -- isolated with Morris Peterson guarding him-- made a jumper with a hand in his face to give Maccabi the lead. Peterson missed a long 3-point attempt at the buzzer. Many of the 17,281 in attendance were fans of Maccabi. The consular general for Israel in Toronto slapped hands and joined the team in the celebration as NBA commissioner David Stern hurriedly walked off the court.</div> source

I think the centre situation has finally been resolved. We should go sign that Tel-Aviv player who posterized Woods. Seriously though, I hope that the Raps were just playing all of their young and fringe players, because this is pretty embarrassing.

Charlie V played 21 minutes.....
Geez, I didn't even look at the minutes that they played. That's horrible. I had a bad feeling when Maceo Baston was talking about how everyone on Maccabi was craving a win against an NBA club, but I had no idea that they would win. I know it's a preseason game and everything, but you gotta have some pride when you play.
what??? are we really this bad or are they that good? that is embarassing, losing to a european club team
It's pretty sad watching any NBA squad losing to any non NBA team, with a team filled of players who didn't get drafted, got cut from training camp rosters, and lower tier players. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chutney:</div><div class="quote_post">I think the centre situation has finally been resolved. He was a former Raptor and for whatever reason, we didn't invite him for training camp; many fans were pulling for us to.
NBA.com is REALLY pissing me off. This is like the 4th time i've tried to check a box score and it doesn't work...wtf is wrong with the webmasters over there?

When I went there I viewed the recap and there was a link to the box score on the sidebar.

Guys, i told you in my preview that Anthony Parker has some unbeliaveable jumpers... 0.8 and Mo Pete can just look how Parker wins the game, WOW. You guys have the answer why Toronto didn't push it to Bosh in the 4Q ?, if he's the star he have to try getting some shots in cluch time!
I think its because Bosh played 45 minutes, he probably gets tired by the 4th Q, and doesn't have the same explosive energy. BTW 27 and 12 isn't too shabby. Kudos to Maccabi for their chemistry overcoming talent. I always like seeing teamwork proving its immense value in basketball. Hopefully this might teach the Raptors a lesson, without costing a loss in the real season. On a side note, Miami lost to the bobcats by 10 points (82-72), so I think preseason things don't determine much. Teams have only had a couple games together and are getting into basketball shape. It sounded like it would have been a good game to watch though.
It just shows what kind of season the Raptors are destined for this year, and a monster year for Chris Bosh 22-10 range.
Expect feschuk to write a negative article about this one..... right after he finishes his column for the Arts & Life section...
Played our starters 40+ minutes and we still lost. Mitchell is going to tear a STRIP off those guys. Wow, that is just plain embarassing.
I watched the game on Raptors TV, during the late 4th Q, i saw Chris Bosh demanding for the ball, and he still didn't recieve it, i only saw him have like 4 or 5 touches during the 4th while everybody else is holding the ball and waiting to jack it up from 3 with about 2 seconds left on the shot clock. Mike James did pretty good to try and keep Raptors in the game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TwinTowers:</div><div class="quote_post">It just shows what kind of season the Raptors are destined for this year, and a monster year for Chris Bosh 22-10 range.</div> if them being beaten by amatuer european players is going to define the raptors season, their in for alot of trouble.
