no, that type of money goes to big time players who can lead a team. I love Tayshaun as a player but he hasn't shown that he can lead a team, he is surrounded by tremendous talent and double digit $$ every year is a stretch, in my book I'd give him a six year deal worth 8 mil a year.
I think he will be able to really take control and lead a team down the track a little but 12 mil is still a bit steep. I think they should lock him up for the next 6 or 8 years at 9 mil per season. He is always improving and is a major contributor and component in the Pistons engine. He can do everything on a basketball court and do it well. He should be rewarded, but 12 mil is overpaying.
no way Prince is worth $12 mil per...hes more around the worth of $6-8 million per, MAYBE...but 12 per is ludicrous...
I do not think he is worth that. I would say around $5 million or maybe more but deffinately not $12 million.
If guys like Dalembert is getting $60 million on solely potential, so why can't Tayshaun get Larry Hughes like money? Now a days there are tons of players that are overpaid so I don't see whaat the big deal is. And it's not like Prince is bum, the guy is a potential All-NBA Defensive Teamer.
The only player WORTH that kind of money is Jalen Rose, and that is because he gives the most of any NBA player to charity and puts kids through school who otherwise would not be able to go. Then he spends his free time checking up on them and making sure they are doin ok.
Tayshaun Tayshaun is definitely a great defender and one of the best shot-blockers in the league, but 12 mil is a little much to be paying a defensive specialist like Prince.
