Yeah, not Nate Robinson. </div> LINK oh man this sucks, larry is gonna hardly play nate. i really want to see what this guy has got...i mean he has 42 inch vertical for gods sake.
Well, can you blame him? I like Nate, but he really needs to improve his decision making. I have no doubt he'll eventually do this and become a solid NBA player under Brown though.
The mind games have begun. Larry Brown loves using reverse psychology on his players, especially the rookies. He wants to see how they handle adversity and if they listen to what he says.
rumors were there that the knicks wanted snw.what they sould do is trade nate and crawford for snow and gooden would die to see LeBron and Nate in the same team.since brown wasnt impressed it dosnet seem so hard to fathom. sorry nyk fans, don't take it personally, its just those two together would be a whole lot of fun! you got to admit that!!!
Nate was terrible in making decisions on offense - he was really out of it. He looked frantic and nervous, I'm sure as the year progresses he will improve greatly.
What now Nate is a bust? Please, he's a rookie and he wants to be the man in the NBA. He did have alot of poor shots but he took alot of good ones also. Nate is trying to be too flashy and LB doesnt like that especially coming from a rookie. Nate will be fine and why would Cavs want Crawford when they have Hughes at the 2 and they basically have the same game. I think Snow will come in another trade but not that suggested one.
Nate is a flashy player and yeah he has to improve his decision making.. but I have confidence he will because he's just a rookie going through the process of realizing NBA is not College. He can't be doing so bad... he was on the floor with Lee and Frye during those 2 comebacks against Dallas.. each time tying the game in the final seconds. Hitting clutch free throws in NY.. getting his own rebound in Dallas. He's gritty and once his game is polished.... he's gonna get his play.

Although I have seen Crawford's perimeter play improve, it's been negligable. I still see him getting a lot better under Brown. He's just the right coach to light a fire under a player like Jamal Crawford. Also, I agree with you Nate. He'll get a lot better once he settles his head. And the reason first round picks don't get traded in their first season is because a draft pick is an investment, especially a guy like Nate. He has fire, he has skill, and he's totally raw. He'll get his minutes, just give LB some time to cut him down to size.
It must not have bothered Larry too much because Nate played 25 minutes last night against Dallas . where does it say he was disappointed?

I still see potential in Crawford but he has to step up. LB is the best man to do that.
itd be hard for nate to impress lb anyway. Lb likes defense, and its extremely hard for a guy under 6 feet to play d.
Robinson isn't a bad defender despite his lack of height. He's extremely quick and explosive, and has good anticipation. If Robinson can set up his teammates, play defense, and score when he has an opportunity, he'll be fine with Brown. Adjusting from the shooting guard position at Washington is why he has that scorers mentality. Now that he pretty much has no choice but to play point guard in the NBA, it hasn't really been an easy transition.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mo.Matik:</div><div class="quote_post">itd be hard for nate to impress lb anyway. Nate will never be a lockdown defender, but he can be disruptive and pesky with his speed and athleticisim. It would be easy for him to beat his man to the spot and draw a charge. Or come from the weakside and rip the ball away from a player in the post. Little things like that will keep Nate on the court. In college, Will Conroy brought the ball up and ran the offense for the Huskies. He just needs to learn the position better or count on the Knicks to trade for a combo guard, or hope Crawford can be the big PG for the Knicks.
People forget, he was projected to go in the early-mid second round before the draft, and this wasn't just due to his lack of height. His decision making was very very questionable in many games with Washington, and that's what got larry Brown into constant battles with Billups and Iverson, and what would probably keep Robinson from getting much playing time, not to forget to state that Nate is nowhere near the players Iverson and Billups are.
Robinson isnt the greatest decision maker so I dont blame Larry for being upset, if Nate picks up on this quickly he should be good or atleast average this season if not well we can just see Darko. Good thing is Nate had only 2 turnovers, and 5 assists today. A great improvement from other box scores I've seen.
