Fox Sports BOSTON - The point guard competition in Boston just became a little clearer as Marcus Banks is expected to miss at least the next six weeks due to a stress reaction in his left shin. ?I?m not sure of a timetable,? Celtics executive director of basketball operations Danny Ainge said. ?Marcus will be re-evaluated in six weeks and they?ll do more testing. He needs to stay off of it for now.? ?He was capable of starting for us and playing a significant role,? Anyone else feeling like Banks might be sunk with this news? He could well be done for. I just don't feel confident of his return at this point.
