    Injuries for Bulls:

    Tim Thomas: Sprained Right Ankle

    Break Down For the Bulls:

Well like I said before the Minnesota Timberwolves game, although it was an L, was our best game of the preseason. We got an overall effort from everyone on the team several players in double figures, Duhon six points and six assists, and Basden stepping up his game. If you exclude the Minnesota game the game against the Celtics was the best game we played in the preseason we have had two good preseason games in a row. Now what I am looking for out of the Bulls in this game is consistency. Mainly from guys like Chandler on the offensive end, Basden in terms of having two good back to back games, Sweetney as well in consistency if you remove the Wolves game we was averaging 14.3 points a game this preseason to go from that to four points is strange, but should not happen two games in a row.

Right now it appears unlikely Tim Thomas will be back he has been suffering from a nagging ankle sprain that occurred early in the preseason and was hurt once again in the last Celtics and Bulls game. Bulls are playing some good basketball right now hopefully they can keep it up they tend to fall behind early however, and struggle to get back in the game they can’t do that if they expect to win this game.

    Result:

I’m liking the Bulls chances in this one I just feel like they are starting to get into regular season form, and are playing some good basketball right now. I’m hoping Chandler will find his offensive game against the Celtics my prediction Bulls 99, Celtics 85.

Thanks for the preview Best Kept.

I think the bulls will beat the celts again. Chandler will have a great night. I predict he will have 12 points 11 rebounds. Holcomb is a guy im excited to watch tonight. he is a 6'9 athletic demon. His skills are limited buy he has hustle. Im figuring as the season goes on he will become another good rebounder and defender.

    Bulls win 89-78

    Go BULLS!!!

    Game Update (10:02):

Michael Sweetney is having another stellar game 12 points, 7 rebounds as of right now in the game. The Bulls, have three players in double figures ( Songaila, Sweetney, Hinrich). Paul Pierce leads all scorers with 24 points. Chris Duhon is having another good game 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists. I think that right now he deserves that starting spot over Gordon. Bulls are up by ten 87-77 with 4 minutes left in the fourth.

    Game Update (10:15):

Another impressive win by the Bulls over the Celtics. Sweetney just ate the Celtics for lunch in the low post 16 points on 5-8 shooting and 8 rebounds. Stand by for official box score, game recap, and my take on the game.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mike Sweetney hopes to fill the Chicago Bulls' hole at power forward. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics are still searching for an answer at point guard.

Sweetney scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Bulls to a 98-82 exhibition victory over the Boston Celtics.

Chicago acquired the 22-year-old Sweetney from New York earlier this month for Eddy Curry with the hope of making the ninth overall pick in the 2003 draft their starting power forward, a role he never had on the veteran-laden Knicks.

Sweetney continued to show promise as he made 5-of-8 shots and 6-of-7 free throws Wednesday en route to his fourth double-digit scoring effort in five preseason games. The 6-8, 270-pounder also chipped in two assists, two steals and a block in 23 minutes.

Kirk Hinrich scored 14 points and dished out five assists and Darius Songaila and rookie Kasib Powell added 11 points apiece for the Bulls, who outscored the Celtics, 22-8, in the fourth quarter. </div>

It may be preseason, but Michael Sweetney is making his point clear ?don?t challenge me in the low post?. Sweetney shot 5-8 tonight on course to score 16 points. The team finished with many bright spots Chris Duhon had a great overall game, but his shooting left something to be desired as he shot 2-7 from the field. His assists, rebounds, and ball handling skills however made up for that. Chandler and Gordon?s performances where horrible Chandler got man handled in the post by Blount while Gordon scored a mere 2 points though he only received 12 minutes of action yes but he shot 1-3 with two turnovers in that time as well. Othella Harrington worked hard in the time he received and played well shooting 5-9 from the field and scoring 10 points as did Powell.
