Denver Post Denver police are investigating an accusation that the Nuggets' No. 1 draft pick attempted to sexually assault a woman in his near-downtown condominium last week. Former North Carolina State guard Julius Hodge, currently with the Nuggets on a preseason trip to California and Oklahoma City, supposedly attempted the sexual assault on a 37-year-old woman between 11 and 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, Denver police Detective John White said. "What is being alleged is criminal attempt sexual assault. It is an active investigation," White said Monday night. "We are taking it seriously. No arrest has been made, but Mr. Hodge is cooperating." Hodge's attorney Rick Kornfeld said: "No equivocation. He categorically denies these allegations and categorically denies he did anything wrong, committed any crime." He said police have not asked Hodge to leave the team on its road swing and return early to Denver. Hodge hasn't yet been interviewed regarding the complaint, Kornfeld said. "We are in the process of trying to arrange that," he said. Plans are for Hodge to be interviewed when the team returns early next week. "The DA was comfortable with that," Kornfeld said. "We are cooperating. We think these allegations are baseless." Kornfeld said he is conducting his own investigation. "We have some facts that we're going to make the police aware of." He said no sex took place and added, emphatically, "This is not Kobe Bryant." Hodge didn't know the woman well, he said. "There's also some evidence to indicate she was aware he was a professional basketball player," he said. Source
Well I bet this is just another woman trying to get money like that girl with Kobe, its all about the money and they don't worry about measing up these players lives.
Even if the allegations are indeed not true, young players need to learn how not to get themselves in a position to even be in the situation in the first place.
C'mon Julius, i though he knew not to get involved wit this kinda stuff.And she was 37,she must have been real fine.
