That's why I'm so upset about the dress code. It's bigger than the NBA. The leagues uses Hiphop to promote they're games on tv. They use Hiphop artists to preform at halftime of the games. But they spit in the face of the Hiphop culture when it comes to fashion, and way of expression.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Exactly! And on top of that, the league allows Miller Lite to be a huge sponsor, and thier product is the one of the leading causes of death in this country. But it's ok to promote that, just can't wear the long iced out necklace cause it's bad for business. Very logical Stern, very logical</div> Business is business. Stern's making money off Miller Lite even though it can kill people (its not the leading cause of death or even in the top five for that matter). He's not benefitting at all from players wearing "long iced out" necklaces while he might even be benefitting from this dress code. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">That's why I'm so upset about the dress code. Or even how you keep hearing Rob Thomas' "everybody get down" annoying brain worm song?

But have you listened to the theme music of the nationally televised games for the last 3 or 4 years. Hiphop has made millions for the NBA, and I don't think anybody can argue that. The Dress code has race written all over it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Dress code has race written all over it.</div> No, it has business written all over it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">No, it has business written all over it.</div> Who's business is it helping? I don't think players sitting on the bench is going to have an effect on the NBA as a "business".

Players sitting on the bench or players speaking at a post game conference who wear suits show that this league is very professional and that it in fact, is a business. Casual watchers might be more drawn to it because of this atmosphere, who knows?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">Stern's making money off Miller Lite even though it can kill people </div>This is the sad reality. Deaths attributed to alcohol is four times as high as those attributed to illegal drugs. Yet he advertises thier product, then tells the world "i'm trying to clean up the image of the league" What a tool. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">Then explain to me why at the All Star Weekend they had the Goo Goo Dolls playing? Any arena, any night, any team, you WILL hear rap music.
