" New York Daily News - Vince Carter and Lamond Murray sometimes share stories about their days in Toronto. Usually there's a laugh, likely followed by a sigh of relief. Like Carter, Murray is thrilled to be out of the Raptors organization as he returns to Toronto with the Nets for an exhibition game tonight. "(The Raptors) don't know basketball up there," Murray said. "If you don't know what you're doing, you keep on guessing and that's all that's going on - guessing every year. I'm glad to be out of there. Like Vince, I'm not going to worry about them, I'm not even thinking about them." Murray would like to erase all of his Toronto memories. He spent his three worst seasons in Toronto before being waived this summer and joining the Nets. "I try not to complain," the 11-year veteran said. "I tried to be as professional as I could. They just did what they wanted to do. I'm trying not to get into this now and really air out how I really feel. There were many times I wanted to blow up." he tried not to complain? he did a good job of bitching and moaning enough while he was here as far as i could tell and of course his play was stellar. he should have been an all-star, but we benched him because there was a great toronto consipriracy against lammond murray. yes, we treated him so horribly...how hard it must have been for him to play basketball for millinos of dollars in toronto. i feel sorry for the poor soul. i can only hope he finds salvation in beautiful and snow free new jersey
better to be in charlotte? wtf is wrong with you nyways--murray is just bitching--like he always does after he left LA and Cavs he did the same thing...
putting murray's remarks into context helps the discussion; murray's two best seasons were spent playing for the cavs and the clippers.

If these words came from Vince Carter or Antonio Davis, they should cause an uproar. But from Lammond Murray who will probably warm the bench for New Jersey again? The media's just running out of things to print.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Does anyone actually care about Lammond Murray?</div> to be honest- i always kinda found him funny especially when he ripped into kevin o'neill.
lol, I really expected this from Murray. All he has ever done is complain, not to mention he was selfish on the court, and put no effort into defense. I'm glad we are rid of that locker room cancer.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post"> "Like Vince, I'm not going to worry about them, I'm not even thinking about them." </div> That's interesting because does he really believe that we're thinking about him? Doesn't it say something when you can't even crack the rotation on a mediocre team? Oh well, he's another team's cancer now.

A 6th man doesn't get 12-15 MPG. Cliff and McInnis will be the main contributors off the bench, Murray will be the 10th man on the team.

Got to watch him in action tonight for the first time in a while, and let me tell you, he just played awful basketball. If the offense stagnates for one-eigth of a second too long for his taste, he's jacking up whatever's on his mind. If the guards need help D on the perimeter, he's practically on the bench he's so far from the play. If the Nets aren't hitting the boards, he stands and half court and hopes for some cherry-pickin's when the ball comes back down the floor. If there was ever a man who warranted less attention about these complaints, this is the guy. 10th man is really a long shot for this guy. If the Nets weren't so shallow talent-wise, this guy wouldn't even be handing out towels.
since when did anyone pay attention to Lamond Murray? hes probably going to end up being cut anways honestly... who cares?

But that doesn't make the waiting any easier for the veteran who was brought in for depth on the Nets' bench. Murray sounds terribly frustrated. "You start questioning yourself. You [say], 'It must be me.' Going from place to place, with three different coaches and they do the same exact thing to you. You just don't know what it is so it's got to be me, something I'm doing," said Murray, who didn't play last night for the third time in eight games. "I'm here to play and help the team out.
