<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Marv Albert: Jason, give us your expectations, your overview of the upcoming season.

Jason Kidd: Well, I'm always shooting for the highest trophy and that's for us to win the whole thing. When you play this game, you want to be a champion.

Jason Kidd has high expectations for the 2005-06 season.
Albert: How is your mindset different at this point as you think back to the disappointment when you were told last year that Kenyon Martin would be headed to Denver?

Kidd: Well, I think knowing that we have a stronger bench, knowing the guys that we've had and knowing that the Nets did everything they could to get the players that they wanted, we have a very competitive team this year. And I feel that the bar is raised again to where it was the year we made it to the Finals.

Albert: Now last fall you said, "This is not a championship team." You look at the Net roster now, how far can this club go?

Kidd: Well, I think we can go a long ways. I think with the abilities of Vince (Carter) and R.J. (Richard Jefferson), you have Jeff McInnis, Twin (Jason Collins), (Nenad) Krstic, who's coming off a great rookie season, I think the sky's the limit. And if we can stay healthy I think we have a good chance.

The starters are playing amzing, but our bench is losing us games (NY, TO). However, I do think that this will improve quite a bitwhen JMac and JC come back. Once we get our rotation going, we will be solid. Honestly, we are probably a top-5 team as far as bench/depth goes. Wright doesn't look like he'll make the rotation..., but Jackson is exceeding expectations. So far our rebounding has been pretty good (killed TO in that), so as long as we stay healthy, I think we'll be fine.

They can't beat Detroit nor Miami 4 out of 7 games. So ECF would be a great year.
