What are your impressions of the rookie so far? I've heard positive things about him- how he's smart, knows how to pass and run an offense, and is a great shooter...I'm interested in where yall think he will fit in to the rotation this season...
I think he will get some of the garbage minutes early in the season and gradually increase the load later in the season. Like jameer did but less minutes. Some people say he will go to D-league but I doubt it. Playing in practice every day against francis and jameer would be more helpful then playing people in the D-league. I expect him to do well this year. He seems like a white Darrell Armstrong . Maybe with a bit more talent. I wonder what this formula equals Heart + Hustle + Talent + Offense + Defense =????
I think I remember stating coach Hill that NBDL would be a great thing in terms of playing experience and because there're just not enough minutes for all our PGs (Francis, Nelson, Dooling and Diener), I really see him playing there.

Yes he plays harder competition from day to day, but there is no substitute for game experience. This is the same thing for baseball prospects, I would rather keep them in AAA(or the D-league) to play then ride the pine in the majors(NBA). I haven't been able to see the games, since their not on TV where I am, so I'm not sure how good he's doing. Judging by the stats he's having a pretty good preseason, but stats can be very misleading.

It's just there hasn't been any local TV for the preseason games, so I can't say for sure what I think of him, because as we all know stats can be misleading. Sometimes a player plays better on a 4 pt 1 rebound night then they do on an 8 pt 2 rebound night.(doing the little things that it takes for the team to win that doesn't get put on the stat sheet)
Diener looks good, but not necessarily any better than Andre Barrett, we traded one for the other, IMO.

A FG% of .235, hardly any assists, except for those 3 in 22 minutes against the Rockets don't look that good. But all I can do is look at stats at the moment, haven't really read anything about him yet.

Yeah that's not very good. I'm gonna wait until I see him play to make judgements on him.
Saw him in the game against Houston, and I was impresed. He can run, he can pass, he can score and he is very tough. To bad that you guys have Dooling, Jamer and Francis, but he looks like a player who can bring great energy of the bench. I don't think that NBDL is place for him, because as far as I remember, he allready has 4 years experiance in collage.

Those stats simple just tell me that he needs more in game experience which he isn't likely to get that much as long as he isn't playing in the NBDL.

Honestly, I don’t like his game. he is a hustler, but he is just what we don’t need, and have to much of a undersized guard who is not strong, and will not be able to guard bigger players. I would have rather drafted a bigger guard or a power forward. We have so many small guards right now that I don’t know how we will work them in a rotation. The only big one we have Stevenson could not hit a long range shot to save his life. We need some improvement in the back court to win, not necessarily saying a Nelson/Francis combo would not work, but if we are going to use a big guard someone better than Stevenson.
