^ I dunno...wouldn't that be wasting CV's all-around game? I don't think he should be assigned to certain roles like 3 pnt shooting, he's simply quite versatile.

Yes, Villanueva has a much better post game than Donyell Marshall, but would moving him out to the perimeter be any detrimental to his and the team's development? He has the quickness to beat guys off the dribble, and his being out on the corners gives him a lot chances to do just that. By placing Villanueva in the post, we might just be jeorpadizing Bosh's freedom. Bosh excels on driving into the post from the right side, and by placing Villanueva on the inside, Bosh won' have room to do that often.

I think we should use Villeneuva's versatility using him in certain ways depending on matchups. If he is guarded by a smaller SF, we should put let him play a post game, and have Bosh pull his man out a little bit, because Bosh can hit deep 2-pointers.

If Villeneuva has a bigger man, he can play a Donyell-esque role. He can spread the floor, maybe beat his man off the dribble or hit the open 3 if his defender isn't respecting him.

Versatility is a good thing. [IMG]

That's why we'd have offensive sets. If we wanted to run a Bosh iso, Charlie would screen for him to get open, then fan out to the corner. If we're posting up Charlie, Bosh stays on the other side, and can cut/try to find open spaces etc. I don't think having a player do many things in terms of scoring should limit another player's scoring.

We use mismatches, and find the best offensive option. Charlie can't beat every single guy he'll play off the dribble, and we also wouldn't have him play in the post the whole game because that would also limit his versatility.
