Boston Herald <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Celtics welcomed Al Jefferson back to practice yesterday, and it's likely the second-year forward will play this evening in Toronto. ``Today went real well ? better than I thought it was going to go,'' said Jefferson, who has been out since the second practice on the opening day of camp with a sprained left ankle. ``Hopefully I'll suit up (tonight). It's up to Doc (Rivers), but knowing Doc I probably will suit up (tonight). ``Actually I felt like I was right there. My ankle didn't bother me at all. I got a good tape job, an ankle brace and high-top shoes tied real tight. It felt like I never twisted it. The only thing that was bothering me was my conditioning, but in time that's going to come back.'' Said Rivers: ``He missed shots because he was rusty, not because his foot was bad. You could see that. He got every shot he wanted down on the post. I think he was an 0-fer for practice or close to it, but he got the shots he wanted. He's so quick down there. I think the first thing was for him to get his confidence that he could play.'' As for how Jefferson will fit into the rotation, the coach said, ``You almost have to let him get his legs under him before you start trying to figure out where he's going to play. Will he start? Will he come off the bench? I've got to find out if he can run up and down the floor for more than three minutes at a time.'' At present, Jefferson is expected to give a lift to a Celtics bench unit that has struggled mightily while the club has lost three of its first four preseason games. </div> Source
