I couldnt watch the game but, looking at the box score, things were a little different. Odom 0-6 fg, 6-6 ft only 5 rebs. MIHM FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FINALLY PULLED THROUGH ONCE!!!!!! 14 pts 5-7 fg 4-6 ft and 6 rbds. Somone must of threatened him with a trade. Brian Cook had a solid night 5-6 fg 4-4 ft in 12 mins. Kobe put up 25 pts 7-12 fg 11-12 ft. Its awesome that kobe is making better than 90% of his ft this night, he needs it. All we need is for Odom to put up good points on a night like this. Kwame had 11 pts and 7 rbds.

I watch the game. It wasn't pretty. They barely beat the bobcats without Sean May, Raymond Felton,Gerald Wallace and Emeka Okafor. That's pretty sad. The Lakers defense and turnovers were terrible. Well at least its only preseason, I hope they play better in the season or looks like another “lottery” season.

The final score was deceiving, because the Laker scrubs basically outplayed the Bobcat scrubs in the final quarter. The Bobcats went 6 or 7 minutes without hitting a field goal in the 4th quarter.

Last night the Bobcats took advantage of our point guard situation. Smush Parker was getting worked by Brevin Knight. Smush was turning to ball over and taking terrible shots. The boxscore shows he shot 3-5, but the two he missed were ugly.

Kobe Bryant and the rebounding efforts of the Lakers kept them in this game. The offense looked a lot better than the Denver game, but the players still run into each other when they make the mistake of running to the same open space on the court. Lamar Odom really needs to be more aggressive on offense. He only had 2 shot attempts early on and was giving up the ball far too, often. He did have some nice plays, and the two assists in the boxscore is misleading. Lamar was responsible for most of the Laker baskets. Also his free throw shooting has really improved. He's only missed one time so far in the preseason.

The player I've really been impressed with all summer is Devin Green. This cat is smooth on the court and in control at all times. He's super athletic and has the fundamentals down pat. He seems to be one of the few players who knows how to move within the Triangle. The only aspect he needs to work on is making jumper more consistent. Green is the perfect role player for the Lakers off the bench, and is the type of talent the team should be developing. It's time to cut the losses with the Sasha Vujacic experiment and use his roster spot for Green.

Jumaine Jones was finally active last night. He was disruptive on defense and kept a lot of loose balls alive for the Lakers. I'm not sure what the Lakers have in store for him though.

Brian Cook, another solid game off the bench, he has an entirely different attitude from last year. He's playing inside a lot more and is banging with other players. On defense he's been a lot better at holding his position.

Chris Mihm scored 8 straight points late in the game with some nice post moves. His two minute highlight was nice, but the other 19 minutes on the floor, Mihm looked pretty bad out there.

Kwame Brown injured his thigh on a defensive steal. Brevin Knight ran right into Brown's thigh, and Kwame didn't come back on the court. Kwame and Odom hooked up for a sweet alley oop.

Another player who showed what he's capable of is Von Wafer. He has a sweet jumper from the corners of the free throw line. His first step is explosive and he can elevate in a hurry. Him and Cookie hooked up on a nice give and go leading to a Von Wafer dunk. After the game Kobe Bryant invited him to share the spotlight for player of the game honors. Von Wafer was really nervous having the camera in his face, but a nice gesture by Kobe.

Laron Profit also played well in this game. He quietly racked up 6 assists and only had 1 turnover. He made his case for making the team last night.

And people say he is selfish and hogs the limelight!

It seems that this preseason, we are winning our games against the poor teams and losing against the better teams. A good sign of making the playoffs, but also a sign of getting knocked out in the first round.
