There are so many people that think this duo can work, but also many that don't. So since you guys are like wicked smart when it comes to Hoops, I want to hear what you guys have to say. Personally I think that they can work well together. I think they should run alot of pick and pops, like Tony Parker and Tim Duncan do.

Last season in his time with the 76ers Chris Webber managed to average 19 points per game while playing on one leg, and being restricted to a jump shooter by Jim O’Brien. He also did not even touch the ball until the shot clock had less then five seconds on it. Yet many times he was still able to make either a good pass or get off a decent looking shot. This season will be Webbers first “healthy” season in a while considering he had a surgery that took two years to recover from and last year was the second year. He will also be playing in a system in which he will be allowed to put the ball on the court and get the ball early in the shot clock. The 76ers have improved internally, and Webber will benefit from it this season.

I believe Webber and Iverson will mesh. In the past, the second fiddles we have gotten for Iverson have never had the prestige of Webber. When we had Hughes and Stackhouse they where both young and immature, Van Horn was inconsistent and disappeared in the playoffs, Mutombo had no offensive game, and Robinson was never healthy. Webber and Iverson have repeatedly stated they love playing with each other and can’t wait for the season to start. They complement each other constantly, and show no animosity to each other. So in my opinion they have already gelled it that sense. People are just always trying to pit players against each other, by people I mean the media.

Last season they played less then half the season together, and people where passing judgment on how bad a trade it was, and saying Webber was past his prime. When in reality he had never played with a player of Iverson’s caliber really, and was playing in a system that did not fit his game. If they both stay healthy this season they could be the best tandem in basketball next year, throw Iguodala in there and they are a great trio.

If Cheeks can not coach them into a successful duo I will be shocked. Iverson will also be more passes oriented this season, which will mean more touches for Webber so he will get his. As will everyone else on the team. Webber and Iverson meshing is the least of my worries as a 76ers fan I am more worried about how the bench will do this season, and if everyone can stay healthy.
