13 rebounds. SUCK IT. And since most of you haters are also the ones who go on about preseason meaning something, you can't say sh...anything without admitting you were wrong. Best regards, Casual

Best regards, Casual</div> I have always said that preseason means nothing. I didn't see the game so I can't comment. I will say that 13 rebounds in a preseason game does nothing, and I do mean nothing, to change my mind about anything I have ever said About Vlad. Please though, do me this little favor. Before you tell me to "SUCK IT", let's wait until he rebounds in double digits in the regular season a couple of times. After all, the guy is 6'10" and trying to get a max contract as a forward out of some sucker team.
You're right, Damien Wilkins is better because he's proved himself with his fantastic one third of an NBA season in which the Sonics had little to no success.
Not that I'm on the hating Vlad bandwagon but did you happen to see the rest of his boxscore, Cas? At first glance I thought that the statistician got Reggie and Vlad confused. I'm waiting for the day that Vlad can combine all of his talents to have a great game across the board.

Best regards, Casual</div> Wow, that seems a little hasty. I'll admit, I like Vlad's skill set, but just like Sheik said, let's see him put it together first. I have nothing against the man, and have only seen him in limited action, but 13 boards in a preseason game is something lots of less-than-serviceable basketball players have done. To put out an example you might be able to shudder at properly, when Vitaly "The Ukraine Train," as we endeared Celtics fans knew him, before he was Potty, came to town, he was in camp competing against Priest Lauderdale the season before in Cleveland. We had seen him outrebound Lauderdale to death and figured he would compete with Battie or McCarty, or at the very least knock Dwayne Schintzius or Eric Riley off the roster. When he landed the death blow on Riley with some minutes late in the season, I was ecstatic, I thought we had found a big to play some competent basketball for several years to come. Needless to say, you know where this story ends. Isolated incidents do not make the player. When he can put it together for some games, or put it together period, we can lend him a little more credence. Until then, let's be reservedly excited that he may be making progress, and not shouting down an entire fan base over one preseason game. Let's not also forget that rebounds are tricky little stats that have a fun way of throwing people off. I was watching the C's the other night when Paul Pierce netted 8 boards in the first quarter alone, and I thought, how did that happen? I looked back and realized the man was, no joke here, in the right place at the right time a grand total of 8 separate times. It just happened to work out that way. I'm not saying Vlad didn't earn his boards, I'm just saying, that's a figure that isn't as telling as some.
Nice boards. Still, I don't think we should expect even half that during the regular season. I'd like to know where his shot is. Maybe his foot's still bothering him, but I'd be more comfortable seeing a more typical Vlad type game - he'll help us by spreading the floor and creating mismatches. Not by an occasional 13 board game.
