<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Damon Jones hit an off-balance bank shot with 19 seconds left and added two clinching free throws to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to an 87-83 preseason victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night. LeBron James led the Cavaliers (5-2) with 22 points, and Jones and Zydrunas Ilgauskas each added 19 and Donyell Marshall 14. <u>Rafael Araujo had 17 points</u>, Morris Peterson and Jalen Rose scored 13 apiece and Mike James 12 for the Raptors (2-4). </div> http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap;_ylt=AqB...?gid=2005102305 Since when could Hoffa play? Look at his line for this game: 20 mins / 4-6: 17 pts / 8 rebs / 2 stls / 3 pf / 9-9 ft And Ilgauskas logged 31 minutes so it wasn't like he was playing against scrubs the whole time.
so this is what 3 games in a row now that Hoffa didn't foul out....said it in the last post vs. Celts too. I don't expect a line like he had last night every night but we should look at the positives that he can give productive minutes. Like I said before I haven't seen the games so his defense could be weak when we need tough interior defense, but at this point ANYthing is cause for optimism.
The bad always outweighs the good, my friend. Hoffa had a 8 and 10 statline in his first start against the Lakers, but did terrible jobs after that. Seeing that 17/8 line is definitely something like seeing a meteor, although I'd love to see meteors every day from Hoff.
I don't care about the 17 points. I'm loving the rebounds. I really hope he averages around 5-7 RPG this year.
Rafael Araujo, thus the name bolded in the quoted article. He's been labeled a major scrub and bust since he was drafted basically, so any signs of decency is a cause for commotion for raptors fans. In case you really didn't know about him, which i doubt but you never know.

Anyway, that is awesome for Hoffa, I just hope he can average maybe 20-25 mpg this year.
thats great, but he had certain spots in teh season where he did well, but the high didnt last long, hopefully he can keep this up
