Boston Herald <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In terms of entertainment value, Justin Reed's wardrobe malfunction Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena had the audience rolling in the aisles. Doc Rivers even got a chuckle when Reed took off his warmup top to enter the game in the first quarter and learned ? along with the crowd ? that he had forgotten his Celtics jersey. The coach decided to make a point, letting Ryan Gomes take those minutes. Reed cooled his heels on the pine until the last quarter. He played just a little more than six minutes in the 90-69 preseason win over New Jersey. Rivers was clearly not pleased. ``It didn't make me happy,'' he said last night. ``That just can't happen. You've got to be a pro. ``It was obviously funny for everybody. It was even funny for me. I laughed at it, too. But at the end of the day it probably wasn't funny for him. I actually felt bad for him. But you've just got to be more professional.'' As for leaving Reed on the bench until the waning minutes, Rivers said, ``I just thought if he wasn't ready he wasn't ready. The funny thing is that Ryan went in instead and did a really good job.'' Playing in front of his home state fans, Waterbury, Conn., native Gomes had a team-high 15 points in 25 minutes.</div> Source
It actually was pretty damn funny. Tommy got a great laugh out of it too, but the bench was in stitches. But Doc's right, Reed was the only one who didn't crack a smile. All I can say is, if you've ever seen Justin Reed, you know that that boy needs to remember that that stuff can ruin your short term memory, he better lay off it.
