Go Lakers!</div> Good luck with that, hopefully there will be no frustration in your upcoming post! I checked online that its 16.16 in LA. It's now 00.16 in England. I have ages to wait, but its ok as I'm on my half-term holidays! Saying that, even when I was at school last year, I listened to games online anyway.
Wow, the Lakers look fantastic tonight. The energy level is every where tonight. Lamar Odom is attacking on offense, Kwame is rebounding and drawing charges. Kwame also had a nice steal and then sprinted for a dunk.
How's he lookin? Good to know the Lakers are doing good against the team they had trouble with last year.
Bynum had a nice basket and a beautiful drop step move (he missed it), he's been solid so far. Lakers lead at the half by 10 points, they made 18 baskets on 14 assists. The defense has been the story tonight though, the Jazz only managed to score 35 points in the first half. The Jazz are getting great looks, but the Lakers are contesting shots and rotating well on defense.
I hate your new announcer Joel. He's buggin' the hell out of me, first off with his tone of voice is putting me to sleep. Smush Parker is a good pick-up for you guys but i dont like his chances against the West's Points. Kobe looks like the MVP so far this Preseason, and he is my prediction. But announcer is so damn boooooorriiiinnng.

I wish they would bring back simulcast with Stu back on the air. The Lakers had a lot of positives tonight. The game ended ugly with Parada and Whaley exchanging blows. Parada elbowed Whaley in the throat and Whaley retaliated with a blind shot to the side of Parada's face. Both were ejected with just under two minutes left. I don't think Parada wanted to end his chances this way, but he's likely getting cut. Andrew Bynum finished with 2 points / rebounds in 19 minutes of play. He had a nasty block from the weakside, and looked comfortable on the court. Smush Parker was on fire tonight, and looks a lot better off the catch and shoot instead creating off the dribble. Hopefully he can hit with the same consistency throughout the season. Again, I loved the way Lamar Odom played tonight. He was in attack mode and roving all over the court on defense. I think the first few games PJax wanted to him to specifically work on passing the ball and running the offense. And with the preseason ending, he's letting Odom have more responsibility by allowing him to attack. The Jazz beat the Lakers 3 out of 4 last season, so it was nice to see the Lakers dominate this matchup, even though it was preseason. The Jazz have some nice young players though, and Devin Brown is already fitting right in. The Lakers could use a Matt Harpring type player on the floor. He was diving all over the court and giving the Jazz a lot of second chance opportunities. If there was one area the Lakers didn't do well it was protecting against offensive rebounds. AK47, Harpring, and Humphries where flying right in, and controlling the tip ins. Devin Green continues to impress me, I hope he makes the final squad. Bobbitt probably played himself out of a job with the Lakers tonight. I'm not sure what's going on with Jumaine Jones, I suspect the Lakers are shopping him around. There was a rumor he might be traded to Charlotte for a 2nd rounder. A lot of teams could use JJ, but the Lakers are just too, stacked at the swing position for him to have any impact. Right now he's just insurance in case Devean George and Walton can't stay healthy. I don't recall Von Wafer playing tonight either, and if he did he went unnoticed. I was switching back and forth to watch the World Series, since the Lakers had this game under control early in the 3rd quarter. The Lakers have insured themselves a winning preseason record after tonight's win. The next game is against Sacramento, I'd like to see the team tonight show up for that game.

But i cant really imagine a team giving up a point gaurd (which i'm guessing is what the Lakers would go for) that can fit Phil's triangle. Nate Robinson and Jameer Nelson would be my fav's if i were the Lakers but a long shot definitely. Or you can pull one of the points away from Portland and Derek Fisher is out of a job with Baron taking over?

They changed the play by play guy which was Paul Sutherland last year. This year its Joel Meyers. He's actually so much better then Sutherland. Meyers did the radio broadcasts last year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting YourNewChef:</div><div class="quote_post">Could someone post the box score if possible, ESPN or NBA isn't posting it.</div> Box Score On the front page, it says LA-45 Jazz-35. Great win for us today. It seems as if we were great defensivley but we still need improvement offensivley from some players. Our FG% is still in the .400's, something which I hope we could make into a .500. Overall, a great performance and a confidence booster for sure.
i saw on the boxscore that bynum got 7 boards? dang! that's pretty good for a rookie from highschool. also, profit scored 13 points? wow. that surprised me.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bahir:</div><div class="quote_post">Profit will be cut though, right? Or will he go to the D-league?</div> i doubt he'll go to D-League since he's basically 28 or 27 years old.
