Dion Glover is a good player and he did well when he was in Atlanta and he wasnt bad when he was in Toronto either. I think he'd be a good backup 2/3 for the Rockets.

Hayes and Langford didnt seem like locks to make the squad so Im not too surprised, I just hope Head doesnt get sent to the D-League affiliate and Lonny Baxter makes the team. Both IMO are very underrated players and still have potential to be starters in this league some day.

Dion Glover, welcome to the bench.

With Luther Head stepping up, the top four shooting guard spots are all filled. I don't know why we didn't keep Hayes around. Glover won't get any playing time whatsoever and keeping a fourth big man around would be much more sensible, although I am aware that he and Lonny Baxter are virtually clones of each other.

Glover hasnt even played yet. Thats pretty unfair, him and langford should have had a chance to compete with eachother. Hayes was bound to get cut, his hieght wont get him anywhere unless he learns to play the 3.

Not really a suprise, i'm happy with out choices though...Dion is a good backup, Baxter takes high percentage shots, can rebound and hustle...Luther is just great...

Both guys waived got their oppurtunity. Neither was real impressive.
    This isnt a big surprise.
Dion will probably get very limited minutes but we needed a guy on the bench that can come in and play SF. I dont think JVG would have wanted Bowen as that backup.

I think the Rockets hope that eventually Glover will turn out to be a stable backup for TMac...he has a nice, physical size at the 2 or 3 spot...he's a solid defender and, actually, has established himself because hes been around the league for a few years and played well, whereas Hayes and Langford were rookie invitees...Glover has an adequate outside jump shot but its his physical nature on defense which was attractive to the Rockets brass...

Yeah I personally like Dion Glover though I don't know his game very well. What is it that doesn't allow him to hold down a permanent position or role in a team?
