<div class="quote_poster">Quoting virve119:</div><div class="quote_post"> For many less knowledgeable fans, she'll probably be known as the "gay one". </div> Someone states that it is "against human nature" to be monogamous and that's why the divorce rate is so high. There are a number of reasons why this is: 1 - Someone pushes me or cuts in front of me while driving, I "have the right" to do the same to them. Right? Do onto others as they have done to you? Just because you feel you have the right to do something, does that make it okay? In my opinion, it doesn't. We have thousands of people who feel that "It's my time" and don't care about others....about the community. They don't understand that yes, you need to take care of yourself, but you don't only walk around your home all day and survive. That you are in a community and should do what you can to keep that community safe for yourself and others. How does this fit into divorce, ,because I feel I need stimulation that my spouse "can't" fulfill, I'll look somewhere else because, once again, "it's my time". 2 - Some people have gotten married at too young of an age, not even knowing themselves fully before entering into marriage. This is generally more equal in when both see similar things lacking in the relationship. 3 - <div class="quote_poster">Quoting unbeliever:</div><div class="quote_post">Intended by whom? Nature? Certaintly not, there is lots of homosexuality in the animal world. In fact, monogamous relationships (ie, marriage) are against our nature. Which is part of why the divorce rate is so high.</div> Is not the difference between animals and man the ability to reason? There are a number of people who do not go to church or read their daily text, but still have an idea who God is. 4 - Will Power: Especially with youngish guys. I have friends that view me as being single and try to set double-dates still, knowing the girls friend is going to want some attention.
Big deal....No one is ever surprised when a women announces they are gay. However, when is a NBA player going to announce they are gay?
Good luck to her, I think most of the WNBA look like big butch types so she is spoiled for choice!!!Lol!!
wow, why did she have to come out? i think everybody knew already, but why, oh boy i feel sorry for her little son growing up. someone of he magnitude just shouldn't do something like this, it's your life you may as well just keep it to yourself
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting igotask8board:</div><div class="quote_post">Lets say Swoops was MJ. MJ, I highly respect and love as an NBA player...He is one of my top 10 idols. If he "came out" (which wouldn't happen but go with it) and said he was gay...I just simply couldn't idolize the man. I would still respect him, and I would still love is talent, but I simply couldn't Idolize him. It may be a sad thing that me and many other people that idolize MJ would stop, but its the truth. Now that I am done w/ this post...I realized that this topic is to serious to be able to just flat out express your thoughts/opinions like I just did, but oh well the truth hurts.</div> Yeah. I totally agree, it just freaks me out.
If you say you still respect Michael Jordan if he's gay but won't idolize him, that makes me wonder why you idolize him in the first place. Is it his sexual prowess with the ladies that you idolize? If not, then why on earth does it matter what his sexual orientation is? Anyways, I question anyone who says they wouldn't "idolize" an athlete because of their sexual orientation, because it's foolish to idolize people to begin with. Respect their work ethic or charities; be in awe of their talents. But idolizing another human being is completely irrational and nonsensical. They don't have any divine powers, and they aren't superheroes.

I do feel bad for her son, and her husband. That must be pretty hard for him to deal with. Like finding out his wife is gay.

If he is gay, then its just something i don't want to be near. I dont mind them getting married, being gay, doing whatever, just as long as im not gay, and do not have to watch that shiz. i do have a few gay friends, and they are nice people that work hard. but i guess you can say (according to them) i was born straight, and not gay. btw dude, i live in texas
