ESPN reported that Kyle Orton will be the Bears starting QB. The annoucement is expected as soon as Monday.
just because he lit it up against our second stringers - how many times did we sack Hutchinson with our first stringers - I think it was like 5 times, and our D forced the bears to like 3 straight 3 and outs to start the game off I believe.

Orton looks like he could potentially the possible future of Da Bears Franchise. Poor Rex must have alot of Shiat on his mind lol!
all i gotta say is the bears are gonna have a horrible year. Teams usally have a bad year if they start a 1st round rookie QB, but Orton was picked in like the 4th round, so he will struggle even more

I hoped he would be named starter</div> I thought your grandma did throw 3 TDs against the Vikings D last year...oh wait, that was just Chad. I'm pretty excited to see Orton play as well. I think he has some of those intangible qualities that make a QB great. I might eat my words completely on this, but I would not be surprised if Orton turns in a halfway decent year for the Bears (halfway decent by rookie standards).
This is awesome news. I'm glad to see Orton getting a shot to prove he's better than what happened at Purdue last year. That four game stretch was a bitch for the Boilermakers.

I got kinda lost in the BF1's Grandma/Chad comparisons, but I do think the Bears are making the right decision here. Hutchinson has looked horrible so far. He already showed his lack of skill at this level, so why not give the kid a shot. I think the Bears could potentially finish 2nd in the division this season. (Sorry BF1)
i love how Orton played and this is a great move hopefully the Bears do well with him in hes gonna be a good QB and idk how it'll play out of he starts doing well until Rex comes back from injury.
All i got to say is the last time a team started a 4th round rookie QB the entire year was Chris Weinke and the panthers went 1-15.

I get some kind of newsletter I signed up for and it said as early as Monday Orton will be named season starter.

If it is all you got to say, then you shouldnt say anymore BTW - Weinke is not the last QB from 4th rd to start entire year. In fact if Orton puts up same numbers as last QB from 4th rd to start entire year he will be named rookie of the year.
