Ward is now an assistant coach!!!

    Exactly where he should be. Bringing him back would have been a TRADEGY to the whole league, and Rockets organization.

    Tradegy? You mean Tragedy..

    I liked Ward as a player and I think he could definitely be a good assistant coach and someday a good head coach.

    I would think that Ward has been serving his role as an assistant coach for all of training camp and preseason. If Alston, Head and Norris have been coached by him, then I would say that he's doing a damn good job. Alston and Norris have all become pass-first guys and have cut down on their dribbling.

    I too have a feeling that Alston's and Norris' new pass-first mentality is due to Ward...I'm hoping that he has the same impact on Alston that Patrick Ewing has had on Yao...
