Would anyone here welcome Lynch to New York? He just got waived by the Hornets yesterday. They're reports saying New York is interested in him, but how could we sign him when our roster is full at 15 players? Unless we trade with Portland, have an available roster spot, and then sign him, but we'd probably have too many small forwards if that happened. Personally, I say let's pass this one up...
I have not seen much of George Lynch since he became a Hornet so I don’t know how good a player he is these days, but when he was with Philadelphia he was a great team player, and put the team before himself. He could still make a contribution to any team looking to make the playoffs. Teams who I believe should look into acquiring him are Chicago, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. Though New York has shown interest they are loaded with small forward players, and no lock to contend or even make the playoffs.
There is absolutely no reason to add him. At the SF we have Q (really more of a SG, but w/e), Ariza and David Lee so there is no need for Lynch
Yea, I would rather play Barnes instead of Lynch and besides he'll be behind. Its also gonna form a logjam at SF. I say pass on em. We dont need him.
pass...simply because of the reasons stated above me...yall have a lotta talent at that spot and theres no reason to give Lynch a younger talent's minutes...I do think Lynch would be a nice fit here in Houston as a backup to McGrady who can come in for 10-12 minutes per and provide some sound defense...but he doesnt really make a lotta sense for NY...
Im with KA. Penny can do more, Ariza is up and coming, Q deserves minutes when he's back and Malik can occasionally play 3 because he's only 6'7" so I dont really see the need for the Knicks to get a backup SF.
