Yes, Derek Anderson IS starting over David Wesley (as he should). Also, Juwan Howard is in the starting line up, with Rafer running the point. Whats the hype, it was a no brainer. JVG wouldnt start Swift over Howard, obvius from the preseason and JVGs personality. DA is clearly better than wesley. You could tell from the offseason that the rockets wanted a new starter for the 2 gaurd. No reason to get so excited Rock4Life, sorry, but its not rocket science.
i knew swift wouldn't start for jvg. everyone was hyping him up so much, but the fact is howard has been way more reliable over his career than swift.
Rock4life is just gloating while he can, because that lineup will do badly. (Don't worry bro, I'm just playing with you)
I think Howard gets the start right now (since he knows the system), but I expect Swift to be our starting 4, before the season is over with.....and thank God T-Mac is alright and will be ready to play.
Me too, I also see Swift starting by the time the end of the season comes around. The real question is if Bob Sura comes back and if he does, does that mean Luther Head's allready diminished time decreases. I think that if Sura comes back Head will still get the same time until Sura makes a transition back into the style and gets his knee back.
Well check the "What should the rotation look like" thread. This line up was one of the more unpopular line ups. I told you this was going be the line up, everybody thought I was crazy. I guess I was too stubborn, to change my opinion lol.
i think eventually swift will start too... howard should be able to play well with mutombo on the 2nd unit as a scoring option in the post when Yao is on the bench.
Nah..I think Howard will start throughout the season. Based on last season and the pre-season, Howard has always done well as a starter. He isn't as efficient coming off the bench though. Swift however, provides the same performance whether he starts or comes off the bench. So the science is obvious, start Juwan because he'll only be inefficient if he comes off the bench as opposed to Stro who would be more effective coming off the bench. That way, you get the most of your PFs.

The thread was labeled "What should our rotation look like" not "what will our rotation look like". Just because this is the starting lineup shouldnt change people's opinions on what the lineup should be.
I still disagree fullheartedly with Anderson starting over Wesley...it just doesnt make a whole lotta sense...While Anderson would thrive in either setting (starter or bench performer), Wesley's shooting, defense and veteran chemistry alongside Yao, TMac and Howard as starters would indicate that he would be the better fit in the starting 5...I figured Howard would start over Swift, especially when we saw how Swift had a propensity to pick up quick fouls this preseason...

But some people thought Wesley should start, some thought Stro should start. I stated my starting 5, and why, and some chose to discredit my theory. No big deal, just remember when ROCK4LIFE says something, 90% of the time I'm right . That's why I stubbornly stick by all my opinions.
